He probably was waiting to see whether Roger would correct the slant in the news cycle first, but of course nope, he doesn't. a) he does not use tweet to do rumor control and b) I think Brian and he are trying to get as many dates as they can negotiate with Adam, so they love every 'tour' report that shows up anywhere in the press. It's Adam who is putting on the brakes, because he tries to balance the positive world-wide recognition as an excellent vocalist with trying to not get too much attention away from his own endeavors. He is not exactly beating around the bush in this tweet. No friendly, <loved playing with Queen, but also working on #Trespassing>..... He is pretty matter of fact. Sounds almost a bit ticked off that he is the one who has to do the rumor control. Or am I just reading into things? I thought the tweet was great. I agree-- very matter-of-fact. Adam has already expressed his appreciation and how honored he was to sing with Queen, when he tweeted about it afterwards. This tweet was to assert himself as an artist in his own right. I like that he didn't use the word "Queen" in his tweet. I think because he didn't want to come off as ungrateful or to call the band out. This was simply a clear message to everyone listening. It acknowledges the possibility of future collaborations with Queen on "special" occasions (making the point that HE is special) and also brings back the focus to what is most important to him-- his own music, which will be our obsession. Very smartly done! UNF! |

Already, then. Thanks guys. See your point of not mentioning Queen directly, that is good point.
Hard life, if you are in high demand, I suppose.
Now I just hope we really get to hear some news tomorrow re BTIKM. Really would love to know what those sticky points are that make it so difficult to decide whether this will happen before Xmas or not. Me and about a million other folks with me -lol
ETA: just saw that there seems to be a date...happened while I was posting.

But, so as not to calm things down too much, he throws in a backward glancing I-will-own-you-soon tease. The man must be AMAZING in bed!!! |
