Ok, so I'm at home sick. Now what would really make me feel better Adam would be to get that song today But I'd be happy with just a date. It'd make my day seem way less boring than it's going to be... ETA: Thanks Zinnia!

I feel a little funny posting this here, in part because it's OT, and in part because it feels a bit like revealing someone's personal stories, although they were of course consciously published by the person in question...so mods, if you deem this inappropriate in some way, please feel free to delete... Like all of you I loved the Sam Lansky piece on Trespassing, and the astute writing and his subsequent lovely interactions with fans via twitter made me curious about him and his other work. His website is rich and interesting; I particularly recommend the section linked to on the top right called "literary nonfiction" and an article he wrote for The Fix about Britney Spears and addiction. He has a lovely, conversationally direct and very candid style. He is indeed as young as he looks, but perhaps only in years... And something about Lansky's history makes me appreciate the frank pleasure he takes in pop music (ebulliently evident in his piece on Adam) even more. He's a wonderful combination of worldly and yet still open to easy enchantment. www.samlansky.com/I am so happy to find him on Team Adam. Hey, midwifespal, here's a message from Sam on his twitter! To the person who posted this unbelievably generous and kind comment about me on a forum: You made my year. Thank you. twitpic.com/7qoja4 He links to your post above. ETA: The Britney piece is extraordinary. It's worth your time.

I got a chuckle from this:
samlansky Sam Lansky @libradoodle Yeah, it's a blast! I've written about tons of big acts but never had this kind of response before. I love it! 6 hours ago in reply to @samlansky ↑
@vestaroselinda @samlansky Hold that thought! We can be REALLY annoying as well. Ask Adam Levine, LOL.
BTW: I've read most of Sam's essays this evening, and THEY'RE GOOD. I highly recommend.

This is an extraordinary board that is daily inhabited by extraordinary folk. Thank you all. I treasure being a part of it all

[/quote] lol, excellent self awareness humor. ;D MWP, In a roundabout way, you told a stranger they were beautiful and made their year. How sweet does that feel? Your a writer... he's a writer. Both in NY. You should totally have a coffee date and bond over all things literary and Lambert. And I really liked his piece on Britney too. Thanks for pointing it out.
