Ok, this is OT but I'm so happy! Box got delivered this morning with all the music nicknacks I ordered! The kidlet is getting a music-themed present for the holidays and I was I was going batty trying to find some really stupidly basic stuff in the stores. How hard should it be to find a pencil with some notes on it or a freaking music sticker? I went to the local music store, nada. The toy stores, nada. Hell, practically nothing on Amazon. Literally, I wanted some 50 cent items, was willing to pay decent bucks to find anything, and there was nuthn'. Finally did a Google search and found a website that was a literal treasure trove for anything music related. 50 styles of music-themed pencils! Drum keys with skulls and crossbones. Miniature instruments of whatever you could imagine. Single sheets of score wrapping paper for a quarter. Etc etc etc. [snicker] I went kinda nuts. ;D But my kid will have lots of cool stuff to go with her mini-keyboard, which is her "big" present for Hannuka (and my way of continuing to cop-out from accepting the stiff-keyed piano my mom keeps nagging me to move out of her basement ).

I just caught up on the end of last night's thread and want to make a comment, not drag up same subject, but maybe give perspective. Just because someone is a right-wing Christian does not mean they are homophobic. YES, they may be totally against gay marriage, but it is often because of Bible teachings, not personal feelings. My brother is one of those people, as are two friends. My brother's best friend since age 4 is gay, now 37, they still hang out together regularly, play cards, interact with one another's friends, everything 2 guys do. I have no idea if they ever talk about gay issues or Christian issues, I just know that each would take a bullet for the other, no questions asked. I'll actually have to ask my brother if he'd be Craig's best man if ever did get married. As far as the 2 friends go, one of the guys has an identical twin who is gay, the other, a girl, has a brother who is gay. Total devotion to one another in each case.
We always say being gay should be a non-issue, and that is the case with all of them. We've been on vacation at various times with my brother, his wife, his gay friend, and his partner, sometimes just us, sometimes a few more couples. No undercurrent of discomfort from anyone.
I know there will be those of you who think being against gay marriage equals being homophobic. I don't know what to tell you. All I can give you is what I have experienced and how it computes to me.

So what was going on here at 3:46 p.m. yesterday? 840 on line users, has bumped the previous high of 646 during the EMA performance? That is a strange time to have an all time high # of users, most peeps still at work! OH, and Atop has been really WONKY for the last couple of days! Not able to move between pages, and Internet not able to find the site, and a time out when trying to post. Hope we don't break Adamtopia!!!!!! TK tweets and article came after if, so it was not the reason for so many user. Maybe it was simple that many wanted to check if there are any news, because many had expected it yesterday. btw is there any chance that a press release will be released on a saturday?

I'm sitting here listening to Adam singing on Glam Nation Live, and am still so totally amazed & dazed by him. It makes me so happy....and a bit sad, I have to admit. So many emotions going on right now. The sad part is for Adam. I know, well, I think I might know. Been there, done that. But what makes me sad is, that during Aftermath, MY SONG...forever and always, is that MP is playing, and Adam recognizes him at the end. :( I've been in some relationships that just had to end, even though I loved the person. I really think that Adam is hurting about MP. None of my business, for sure, but it still makes me sad. I know all the stuff I've read, and I know that Adam has said nothing. I so respect that. But, I also know that it hurts...and if Adam hurts, I do too. I truly believe that when Adam loves, he really, really loves someone. How sad that MP did what he did. And then, Sure Fire Winners comes up and I'm all!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! This is such an amazing CD!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can wait for the new shit, for sure!!! Rocking out now!!! hahahahahaha!! I know, I know, I'm totally crazy!! I don't care one bit!! OMFG!!!!!! This is so fucking cool, crazy, awesome, fun and HOTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! I forgot how awesome it was...silly, silly me!! So, I'll bide my time with the LIVE Adam Fucking Lambert until we get new shit!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who wants to dance?????????????? *Says Adam, himself?* It's all good, peeps!!! I wanna start a revolution!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STRUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! I know, I'm totally off the wall here, but I'm just soooooooo enjoying this CD, and it's all OK now...hahahahaha!!!!!! Stut for me and show me what you're workin' with!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! (yes, I have totally lost my mind at this point, if you are concerned) I love your post and have experienced the same emotions when I watch the DVD or listen to the CD in my car-I wont add the over and over and over again, it's embarrassing. I never tire of it and smile so big at various points. Your enthusiasm is contagious and as soon as I can get everyone out the door to their various activities, I think I'll watch it again. After all, it's been at least a week since I watched the DVD and probably 19 hours since I listened to the CD.

Hey, I accepted one of those stiff keyed pianos from my mother years ago and one of my kids ended up pursuing a career in music. Watch out if it ever makes it into your home, lol.

And I might add that the timing is NOT 100% Adam's decision. Of course! I just found it odd that he was so eager to share whatever he could when it was all up in the air and gone all cloak and dagger with real info. Just an observation, I still love him dearly I totally get where you're coming from, lambo! (lol, my autocorrect kept changing your name to Lamborghini). It wasn't just the Adam, "Any day now!" tweet, but all the radio stations and Sony Random Countries. Sony Africa DID say we would have release information "this week." I forget exact verbiage of Sony Canada, but it implied very soon last week. After a week of well-placed teasing and taunts, they all clam up completely and ignore all questions seeking answers. The only response received was the rather condescending, "These things take time ..." to @melirose89. Oh, really? Gee, hadn't noticed, but thanks! Obviously something happened ... Again. Hopefully the delay is increasing server capacity for AO, but still, they could give us a freaking date if the radio stations have it.

So I woke up at 2:00 and was reading the end of yesterday's thread. I didn't have any idea about Amway's politics. Blargh!! But here's a possibility ... Adam was booked for the gig ages ago and couldn't get out of it if he wanted to. (Not saying he should want to necessarily. I think he should take all the money they're wiling to pay him ... And yes, I'm guilty of shopping at Target still, though I will pay extra for Fair Trade products if I see them ) I heard the rumor about him being booked for a Chinese gig from one of the main TALC girls ages ago. She had heard about it as far back as the Ste. Agathe concert. Maybe he agreed, having no clue about the company's politics or the timing of the single back in late spring or whenever. I do agree that the single release likely got moved up because they knew there wold likely be leaks. There is definitely room for a number of opinions on the Amway gig, and to add mine, it's not like he's giving THEM money. They are giving HIM money. Also, Adam being Adam, I'm sure there may be a few hearts and minds shifted, if not changed, by interacting with him. Sometimes, actually most times, it is good to engage your "opponent" rather to stay segregated and have opinions hardened by lack of familiarity. I've always felt it is easier to hate and demonize THEM, whoever that may be, when you don't know any of them. This could be one of those "trust the universe" times.

These are all the kind of "why" and "what really happened" type questions I would love to ask Adam Lambert in my intimate fantasy conversation with him, the one where he speaks words personally to me, and the words last and last until I am fully satisfied, LOL. Words are so sexy. :D *Admits to having watched ~a few interviews more than once.
