So great Adam won that award!
My morning Chicago Trib has an article on the Lil Nas X video. Adam's name is mentioned briefly along with some others who have been open about their sexuality and have had influence in gay acceptance. The title of the article is "How 'Montero' can change everything for gay artists." Kind of an over-statement IMO, but still, it is streaming by the millions and people are buzzing about it.

Sort of OT but a bit similar to Adam's experience. I have a bit of girl crush on Dua Lipa and hear her songs on the radio all the time. I don't follow her but a Broadway on Demand email prompted me to buy a ticket to her Future Nostalgia 2054 show that was produced in a warehouse in London under lockdown. It was a lot of fun and reminded me of my clubbing days in the late 70's. It was streamed live a few months ago to 5 million fans! It is available on demand now and there is a behind-the-scenes video. In it Dua said she released the album on March 27, 2020 (Velvet was released March 20) and after working hard on it, she was looking forward to hearing the songs in the clubs and had a whole worldwide tour scheduled. Does that sound familiar!! I wonder how many other artists ended up in this situation. I also wonder if Adam's team has thought about releasing Adam's live concerts so people can watch them again or see them for the first time.

Also happy that Adam won that award and I voted a lot too. And he looks very relaxed and great in the picture.
I am so excited about Adam releasing rock for his next album from the musical. I have been wanting to see him recognized for music that is not competing with the kids and young 20 somethings in pop. And I wanted him to do it while he was the frontman for Queen where he has a lot of credibility and recognition already. And I hoped he would give it a go before others decided they wanted to switch over to rock. Harry Styles, as a solo artist, played with it a bit. But when he found great accomplishments and acceptance in pop, he seems to have abandoned his rock ventures for now. I noticed that Daughty (now independent) has been getting rock radio play. He didn't get it when he was with RCA but does now as an independent. What may matter for him tho is he is independent with distribution from Warner. I don't think Adam has a distribution partner with Empire but it does not mean he can't get one. In any event, it would be wonderful if some other than his fans got to hear the great work he puts out. And he really does write and record some gems but getting it heard is a different story. Maybe next time can be different in another format and genre. If you cross over to top 40 fine but at least try to get your music heard somewhere.

Love that poster. Adam looks very much the HOT rock star! Nothing BG(ish) about that look, lol.

lurleene, you should be Adam's agent. LOL I'm sure he has a team working in his best interests. But just what those best interests are isn't always clear. I'd love to see him get more rocknroll. That next album should give us a clue about whether he should go that route. His pop stuff is great, but the competition is enormous. Hope that musical, if it makes it to the performance stage, will be a success.
Glad you mentioned Daughtry. I always liked him. Good voice, goes his own way, and manages to get radio play. Can't ask for much more than that!

But there is always a chance when you try something different and we know he can rock with the best of them.
