Here's an explanation from a poster, at Brian's. But I'm not quite sure I understand it completely. I saw that but really didn't understand it either. Hope Q3 can clarify for us.

[looks up from chart updating, puzzled...] These are the latest numbers I can find! BUT, Look!! New numbers including remixes! <snip> SINGLES SALES ESTIMATE, REMIXES: (as of 9/22/2010) IIHY Remixes: 8,344 WWFM Remixes 14,480 ***************************************************************************************** Adam Lambert, For Your Entertainment (the single)2010 year end 351,000) Adam Lambert, Time for Miracles (less than 1,000, -8%, 124,000) <snip> Stardust - where did this last batch of numbers come from? I ask, b/c based on RCA Ed's previous numbers, the FYI single must have sold 7,000 copies within the first two weeks of Jan! I know peeps were cashing in their Christmas I-tunes cards, but 7,000 copies worth??!! - Adam Lambert, For Your Entertainment (the single)2010 year end 351,000)
- Actual FYE # = 363,670 (RCAEd 1/20/11)
My chart looks funny. [puzzled shrug] ETA: Also that TfM number looks really old - as of August 18th 2010 old. Latest number from RCAEd is 133,000 [Actual#=133,002 (LW270); RCAEd 2/4/11]. If Mansfield is putting out these numbers, they're ***way*** out of date. If someone on the internet is randomly putting out these numbers, they're totally off base.

Those numbers came from AO Certification and numbers thread but not RCAEd, so hard to tell. Actually, I did not pay any attention to those numbers, just the Remix numbers. I so rarely go over there. I'll see if I can ask for clarification.

Hey guys - Charts are up !!! Note: If that EOY number is correct, it means that 13,000 copies of FYE were sold in the I-tunes' post-Christmas gift card frenzy..... (can that be realistic??) pretty charts! thanks! so about FYE... maybe Ed was counting all FYE single sales including remixes, and the previous (end of year) total was excluding remixes? was that # from mansfield cuz i don't think he includes remixes.

I think it's pretty damn funny that a song that radio refused to play is probably going to go Gold eventually! 8-)
