Definitely impressive, Tantum, as far as the production - must have cost many, many dollars to make! That said - it's just plain "odd" to me and it's one I will not watch again. (Actually, don't like the song much either...) I sure hope Adam doesn't love it and decide to make one like it! |

PRETENTIOUS If I didn't care for Gaga before now I really don't like her.
Good visuals ,but IMO she needs to get over herself.. Just seems pedantic with visuals.I'm I being too harsh? Actually the video made about Adam last year,by a fan, that talks about his coming from outer space,seems more relevant and more exciting.
I do think this video will appeal to her young' Little Monsters'.. This is all familiar to me.. from psychedelic music eras.

That Gaga video had some cool images, but is it wrong that I was laughing out loud at the narration in the beginning? It reminded me of the Stonehenge scene in Spinal Tap.Haha Murly, yes! exactly! And total superman rip-off, too. But CHUNKEY will be pleased to see her "whip her HURR back and forth" so that's something  LMAOOOO (just for you, Chunkey  ) Liked Bad Romance vid (and song) better. That was genuine weird--this was just kaleidescopic gross-out superimposed on familiar after-school-special material. Still, plenty of worthwhile messages in after school specials, I suppose, if you can sift through the dross. |

That video is disturbing but brilliant. Like it and her, or not, she has just proven herself brave and incredibly daring! She will be chewed up and spit out by ... can't guess how many...and accused of unimaginable nasties. I have never been a particular fan of hers but that was really a risk.
When Adam takes a risk we applaud him to the moon so if we applaud risk over mundane, we have to credit Gaga with bravery whether or not we 'like' her technique. She did not have to get this aggressive making her point...JMHO. I am really interested in what is going to happen now!

Two quick comments (I'm usually lurking while working). Someone upthread said they felt like a breakfast burrito after all that talk last night. LOL - I'm sitting at my desk with a breakfast burrito that I ordered at the last second at the drive-thru this A.M. (I generally never get them).
I know everyone said Born That Way was a copy of a couple of other songs. Well, now I've heard it on the radio a couple of times and each time, when it starts, I think "what is that? I know its an old song I've heard before.....what is it? and then it continues and I realize it's the new GaGa song. RIP OFF. But catchy. Didn't she say it was going to revolutionize music or something?
I will totally support this site. I love it and all of you ninjas and generally talented people that keep us time-challenged lurkers up to date. THANKS TO ALL. Especially Q3
