Definitely impressive, Tantum, as far as the production - must have cost many, many dollars to make! That said - it's just plain "odd" to me and it's one I will not watch again. (Actually, don't like the song much either...) I sure hope Adam doesn't love it and decide to make one like it! WUT????? You don't want to see a whole video of Adam in his underwear?! LOL!! Hadn't thought of it that way, MyS*&@^#r...that's a different kettle of fish entirely!  May have to take back what I said... |

That video is disturbing but brilliant. Like it and her, or not, she has just proven herself brave and incredibly daring! She will be chewed up and spit out by ... can't guess how many...and accused of unimaginable nasties. I have never been a particular fan of hers but that was really a risk. When Adam takes a risk we applaud him to the moon so if we applaud risk over mundane, we have to credit Gaga with bravery whether or not we 'like' her technique. She did not have to get this aggressive making her point...JMHO. I am really interested in what is going to happen now! I guess I need someone to explain it to me ... I don't even SEE a point to this video. Was she so agressive that she burried it? I saw gross stuff and lots of naked Gaga - how is that taking a risk? She is naked in all her videos? As I said in my first post, maybe I'm being totally obtuse, but I just don't see any deep meaning and certainly not the meaning I thought the song was about. The Scifi special effects were cool. I kept expecting it to become a campy, making fun type of thing and it never did. Pretentious is a very good word. ETA: I"m seeing some comment on twitter that the video is supposed to be a joke/funny. Maybe I really am missing something since I didn't see that at all. Gaga seems to be taking herself completely seriously (even the dorky voiceover at the beginning) and I'm not seeing a wink or a smile to indicate it is all a big joke... If that was the plan, I think she failed in the execution. |

About Gaga's video, it certainly was not made during one night .....would love to know the budget ...
Would be interesting to see what Adam could do having that kind of budget ....

Am I being obtuse? Does Gaga's video have anything to do with the song? I thought this was the empowerment anthem of a generation.... Its like she had so much fun playing with the special effects she lost sight of the point (if there was one) I love it. "Born" this way - lots of incredible birth images - unlike anything, really, I've seen in a video. I'm in awe of her creativity, her weirdness, and her intense, driven dancing. (I know, it's just a mv - but I really liked it.) So many of the images seem original and intriguing to me. |

I know everyone said Born That Way was a copy of a couple of other songs. Well, now I've heard it on the radio a couple of times and each time, when it starts, I think "what is that? I know its an old song I've heard before.....what is it? and then it continues and I realize it's the new GaGa song. RIP OFF. "Good evening, this is the voice of Enigma ..." superimposed on music from Star Wars ... ??? |

CAN'T WAIT TILL I GET HOME SO I CAN WATCH. THE THING IS, EVEN IF IT IS CRAP, PEOPLE WILL HAIL IT AS SOME EARTH SHATTERING NONSENSE SIMPLY BECAUSE IT'S GAGA. MY PROBLEM WITH HER, EVEN THO I LOVE HER MUSIC FOR THE MOST PART, IS THAT PEOPLE DON'T SEE HER OBJECTIVELY.
SHE COULD HAVE A 5 MIN VIDEO OF HER TAKING A DUMP IN A FIELD AND PEOPLE WOULD HAIL IT AS *REVOLUTIONARY* LMAO.

Can I just say this about Gaga's new video? HOLY SHIT THAT WAS SPECTACULAR!!! (I loved it....can't even imagine what the budget must have been  ) The gal's ego has been turning me off lately....but damn, she's got a great vision! ...oh...and she's completely transformed her body - hot, is an understatement! |

I could live without this video. She inspires some people I am sure, but I was left cold by this video. The song is meh for me too. I LOVED Bad Romance. Outstanding song and video.
Adam in his underwear? I'd rather more left to the imagination. Shirtless would be just fine. : )
