I was watching Studio 54 last night on Netflix. They talked to a young Michael Jackson there (maybe early twenties). I forgot how handsome he was before he DESTROYED his good looks. What possessed him to look in the mirror or at photos and decide, I don't like looking this good so I'll just make myself look like some creepy freak? Must have been some serious self esteem problems or some other issues going on with him. He likely would have been even more lost today when young immature men seem to spend so much of their time posting pictures of themselves. Not because they are real models, musicians, actors, etc. or have accomplished something in a non showbiz field or are supporting/advocating for some worthy cause but because they think they look cute. How Boring! girldrummer, is Bridgerton good? I have been toying with watching it for a few weeks now. Bridgerton is a lush and showy and very very British period piece, and it's pretty much soft-core porn. Intertwining stories amongst families and romantic partners, etc. Lots of beautiful rich people competing for status. My sister got me going on it. It can hook you like anything else. It's like a big, epic romance novel. I can picture Adam in all over fabulous outfits looking SO hot. I've only made it 3 episodes, it gets a little frantic for me, but boy...am I drooling over the black actor, Rege (I think that's his name). Man, is he sexy. The constant court intrigue is a bit tiring for me, I'm more of a black and white person lol, and the games and strategies are soooo not my thing. But I agree, the costumes, etc are super lush and I can see Adam in it also. Haven't gotten to the soft porn goodies yet, so can't attest to those lol. Guess I'll have to keep watching. I've just recently started watching NCIS New Orleans and I'm actually enjoying it. So very few tv shows hold my attention, same with movies. I'd much rather read. |

I see Carrie Underwood has released a Gospel album. She will probably win a Grammy for it the next time around. Seems other country acts are getting more attention in country than she is now and they are winning the Grammy's instead now. And it worked for Tori Kelly (an Idol who did not go far in the competition). She had some success in pop but could not break past the pop darlings to get any nominations or to chart really high on the charts. Then she released a Gospel album and won a Grammy. For the Iheart awards Billie Elish in nominated in a few rock categories ( she has won pop and rock awards in the past.) I hope that Adam will release his upcoming album in the rock and alt rock categories to give himself a chance. Some of them release one song to pop and others to rock to give themselves a chance in more that one area. I think that could have been done with Velvet too as there was no chance in pop. It was unlikely his decision tho. But if he is releasing a rock and roll album, then maybe they will not bother with pop next time. My bet is Carrie will release songs to both Gospel and country. She is on a major label and has the clout to do both.

I think Tori Not being bigger is a Bit of a conscious decision on her Part. Shes with Scooter Brown, who Manages Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. If anyone knows how to sell an act it's Scooter. But thats the Point. I think shes Made a decision with her faith and all that she doesnt want to sell Out, wear skimpy clothes, Play the scandal Game to bei in the News etc.
What i'm trying to say is she definately has Access to the Ressources (and the Skill and Talent) to be bigger but chose to stay true to hersef.
As i've Said before: i really really do Not Like Scooter because He seems to be on the Money and Not much values but you cant deny He'd powerful in the industry.

Eee, have heard not-so-great things about Scooter Brown. I do agree though that not every artist's dream is to be a mega superstar. I think some of them just want to be able to sing/perform/write music whatever.
Btw, I think Tori has an amazing voice...heard her sing in a video with Superfruit.

She was in one interview early on and she said that Scooter told her she was boring. Bottom line is they all can't present themselves the same way. If it was not in her to go there, she made the right decision. But with Scooter and her label behind her, US radio could have put her at the top of the charts if they wanted to. Adele was not exactly playing up the sexy.
I wonder about Demi. Scooter is getting her a lot of press and opportunities but she is drinking again and doing some pot. She says it is in moderation. But she trashed the last manager who tried to limit her access and blamed him and not herself for what happened. So I guess Scooter will not try so hard to do what Demi calls trying to control her. I think he is much more about the money than the mental and/or physical health of anyone.

svca I watched NCIS New Orleans the first season then fell off the radar for some reason. Rediscovered it recently so I'm catching up with reruns. Have always liked Scott Bakula! Not a Scooter Braun fan either. Adam seems extremely happy with Shoshanna and his whole team so that's enough for me. Hopefully we'll see what he's doing soon!

But I heard that he had a contract for a couple of cameos in the second reason for a pretty hefty price tag. But he decided to break that contract. I heard it was like $250,000 for those extra cameos. But he let it go to pursue other offers. I still say Adam would make a magnificent "man of the court" with all the trappings. Swoon! |
