Craazyforadam, I love your post!!!
All I know is that I had the song on loop as I drove my 30-mile commute home, and by mile 2 I was doing my best to belt out the notes and sing along. By mile 2.23 my vocal cords were bleeding and I was in danger of internal hemorrhage. LOL.
But the song is suuuuuuper-catchy and I think it will sound amazing on radio.

Don't want you to take this the wrong way, smokeyvera, but WWFM has sold close to 2 million copies and was Top 10 on Billboard and made it to #13 (or 11) on radio mediabase charts. I know, but it's still my least favorite song of the album, and if this one sounds like the demo, I am disappointed. Why not one of his songs? Why someone else's song. I will remain true-blue, just want No. 1 status for him worldwide. I know, I know..........I want Katy Perry stats for him. We already knew and discussed a while ago that not everyone would love the song, whatever it was. It's just like FYE where everyone had favorites and what one of us loved the others thought was the weakest or over-produced, etc. That's the nature of music, one person loves Bach, another loves Tim McGraw. I hope when the entire song comes out you'll like it better, if not, March is just around the corner (compared to how long we've already waited for new music) and you'll have plenty of other songs to choose from. Personally, I love it. |

Listening to the snippet for the umpteenth time I started to wonder, "Who was this originally written for?" Claude Kelly wrote it in 2009, right? Who were they working with who could have handled the song? Like I said, for a pop song, it is rangy. Who can sing F3 to Eb5? Even if they did not power it out like Adam (Kelly's version is much softer)? I'm thinking probably it was for a diva, but who comes to mind? I don't know enuf about any of them.

I'll apologize in advance, cause imma be going on & on..hehehe! I'm one of those weird peeps who absolutely BERTED! when I saw Adams cover art for FYE!! I totally loved it!! hahahha!! And, didn't really care what anyone else thought. But, I have to say, I soooooooooooooo love the cover art for BTIKMS!!!!! SO fucking HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also loved every song on FYE...some more than others, for sure. But, Aftermath was my absolute fav, and became moreso as he changed it up, etc. Actually, FYE, the song, is the one I loved less, probably because it was so hard for Adam to sing live. But, I still love it!!! Loaded Smile touched me so hard!! I know many didn't like it, but I did...I loved it!!! *shrugs* I'm one who really doesn't care. You like it, you don't? Don't matter to me!! WWFM....made so much sense to me after the *aftermath* of the AMA's. Never tired of hearing it either. Oh yeah, and Time for Miracles!!!!!!!! I sat here and cried, unknowingly, tears running down my face as I listened to it. Still love it, and always will. I have such a wide range of music I love. Some pretty crazy stuff & some *normal* stuff. But, I can honestly say I have never heard anything from AFL that I didn't love in some capacity. I could listen to him forever & ever, and never tire of it. OK, after all of this, I'm going to listen to BTIKMS a few more times & then listen to EVERY CD I have of Adams!!!!!!! There were so many posts I really wanted to respond to, but was literally running thru this thread to catch up. I swear, I'm home for the next 4 days at least (unless I find a job...pray, please). So, I wish everyone celebrating a birthday *HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!* And, WELCOME!!! To all the delurkers!!! You will love it here!! This place is the best of the best!!!!!!!!!!
