www.rcarecords.com/news/global-superstar-adam-lambert-release-highly-anticipated-second-album-trespassing-march-20th-20In addition to co-writing many of the tracks, Lambert collaborated with an all star list of award winning artists, producers and songwriters including Pharrell Williams, Dr. Luke, Claude Kelly, Benny Blanco, Bonnie McKee, Nile Rogers, Sam Sparro, Bruno Mars, Nikka Costa and BC Jean. ( from RCA press release) Bruno Mars is collaborating with Adam. Looking forward to getting The Album.... people - please tell me why everyone is flailing over Bruno Mars? 1) I know he is popular now, but that frankly means nothing in respect to quality of anything.... Are his songs really great? (my question is "real"- as you know I am not capable of listening to any pop star for more than 20 secs, which I did with Bruno, found his voice to be "small and shallow" to my ear and that was that = I have no idea what kind of song writing he is capable of.) 2) do you think that his presence on the album will attract his fans? I checked that he has 6 mil followers, and the rate of growth is at 20,000/day (vs 700/day for BB ) twittercounter.com/compare/brunomars/week/followers

Hmmm maybe I am not explaining myself well. HAHAHA. I am envisioning the stylistic elements of this vid, but obsly done in a way consistent with the mood of the song. I guess I chose this example as something I wanna see: VISUAL EYE CANDY. Lol, sounds good to me, I can kinda picture it, but if only I could just plug into your head it would be even better. OT but not really, basically all Rihanna's vids, especially her most recent ones are really good IMO and give her songs more weight. I'd love to see Adam's vids done as well. Holy crap!! ITA!! I've never seen the vid and never really cared for the song (mainly because it was overplayed like woah!), but I LOVED THAT!! She looks smokin' hot throughout the whole thing. It's fun and visually stunning and made me enjoy that song more than I ever had. Her sexiness, playfulness and beauty are conveyed so perfectly. Would LOVE to see him doing something like that where it's just him singing, beautifully photographed with all his gorgeous expression being the sole focus.

Adam obvs is a fan and respects him and it's a smart move to align with him imo. Bruno and his producing team have written hit songs and Adam teaming up with ANY contemporary hit maker is a win.

I'll buy that. Want his followers to follow Adam as well. How do we let them know that he wrote on this album?

Now, 24 hours after we received the snippet, can I say this without people thinking that I'm concern trolling? ???
Personally, I didn't like Better Than. I didn't care about the melody, and the layering/production partially drowned his voice to sound like any other current auto-tuned urban male pop vocal. I was like, "...showcases his voice? Are we listening the same song?"
Hopefully my mind will be changed when I'll hear the whole song. Maybe this song is those that you have to "learn" to like and for that, radio exposure is crucial. But, anyway! ;D I don't like hits like Grenade or Friday Night either, so my likings aren't any kind of indicator of what American radio wants to play of people want to listen.
I love it that radio seems to have a positive attitude towards the song. Idol is a curious machine: It gives great platform for reaching stardom, but it also has the albatross effect, and people coming from AI can't break out as "genuine" starts before people are willing to forget the star's origin.
I also love it that Adam has slowly managed to build himself prestige as a genuinely great vocalist. Now it's like with Christina Aguilera; no matter how good or bad her albums succeed, no-one can claim that she couldn't sing. That can't be taken away. (Unless you do drugs. I'm looking at you, whitney Houston.)

I'm learning to speak Chunkey ... like a BAUSE!! Re: Bruno ... ITA, it sure as hell can't hurt. He is extremely popular and he is Adam's key competition as a male pop star who can really sing. We know as well as anyone that loyalty for the person you support runs deep and IN GENERAL, fans have a tendency to view someone who is complimentary to the person they support in a very positive manner, but get very protective if they are dissed. (Evidenced by the brutal Gaga fan attack on Boy George a few weekends ago.) When Adam has complimented Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, their fans LOVED it. People who have Twitter searches open on Adam could see all the Selena and Demi fans squeeing and sharing the tweet and saying how cute he is, etc. That's laying down a lot of goodwill (another thing that Adam is extremely good at). When he stood up for Rihanna after the "Man Down" video, some of her fans started a follow campaign for Adam. Like Adam said himself, this business is about relationships and establishing not only a partnership, but goodwill, with some of his primary competition can only benefit him, I think.

OMG Listening to the world premiere of Florence and the Machine new song on X factor. It is VERY out of tune. I feel cringy. Audience goes crazy. I don't get it.
Probably not on the right thread but someone mentioned they had taped and were a candidate for next week's final so that's out leaving room for ANOTHER world TV premiere that we all know WILL be in tune!
