IMO. BTIKM is not pure pop. It is mix of POP and urban with very little touch of Rock (instrumental). Just guess.

IMO this is a pure POP song. If could do well on HAC too but anyone who says it's strictly a HAC song is either deluded or butthurt. This would def fit in top 40. EDIT: Oh and apparently Pulse is a hotbed of butthurt from stans of other artists. I don't go there but ppl on my twitter feed do and they talk abt how Kelly Clarkson stans are ripping into him and etc etc. It's like that everywhere. Everyone's stans constantly feel the need to rip apart the perceived competition. It's kinda ridic. And it totally is CHR mid tempo. It's freakin faster than WWFM and waaay more current sounding. Another reason I cringe when I see music sites call it a ballad. It's not a freakin ballad at all but whatevz. I actually think it is a mid-temp ballad but that means nothing. As always - don't believe everything on Twitter. I read Pulse all the time and it has intelligent and knowledgeable posters. Most do not care about Idol.0000 Regarding the Pulse Music BTIKM Thread -- there is one Kelly fan who posted in the BTIKM thread after the full song was out and 11 total comments after the full track was out -- a mix but not a bunch of people knocking it. I have peeps on twitter I talk to a lot who go to that board regularly so they know what goes on there so I am apt to believe them. It may not be as bad as MJ's but it exists. But that kinda shit happens anywhere. Ever go to a pop star's post on ONTD? It's stan wars and stans for one pop star ripping other pop stars going on everywhere. But OT.... But yeah I guess mid tempo ballad is a good descriptor. |

I listen to KIIS and they play the crap out of Someone Like You and It Will Rain but have never added Kelly's Mr Know It All. So who knows? I do think this has a bit of an R&B sound to it that might help. KIIS in LA is always a problem because although it's Top 40 it leans even more "urban". I'm thinking Pharrel might help there. But it did play Kelly's song 3 times last week. If you want to hear what's moving on the charts right now without having to actually find and listen to a station. Go to the add boards.. addboard.mediabase.com/AddsByFormat.asp# sort by the number of adds (go to last week if there are no adds for this week) You can click the sound button next to each song and listen to it ETA - I think BTIKM matches up well with JesseJ and David Guetta the top two adds (right now) in top 40. Lol can't tell you how many times I've pulled up adds and never paid attention to that feature. |

I think pop with a slight urban flava is a pretty spot on description. The synths and production are super poppy while the way he inflects some of the words and the piano call to mind a lite r&b vibe. But to me a percussive backbeat does not equal *rock* but to each their own =) |

Chunkey -- I have been a Pulse Music member for years -- long before I knew of Adam. And also follow Kelly. The Adam threads are really quite there. And many Kelly fans like Adam, most seem to only focus on Kelly. But if 95% music buyers do not like BTIKM and 5% like and buy it -- it will be the biggest hit of the century.  |

With only the snippet to listen to, I posted that I didn't like it. But yay, now I do :D A bit more R&B that what I personally prefer, but hey, I'm not the target audience. It's not a sing-a-long song, but has a great ear worm potential.
And then to the most exiting and nerve wracking period: The adds! The spins! The charts! The best fan stuff right there!
