I had to snort when he was describing the musical... pop, rock and funk...kind of where his next album might be headed. Isn't that the same description he's given for pretty much all of his albums? LOL! In other words it will only get dead end pop consideration again. Oh well. At least I had hope for about about a month that he would go for a rock album. It is still amazing to see Miley Cyrus getting so much recognition and success in rock but she and her major label put their hearts into it so good for her. And I will purchase and support anything Adam puts out as his heart is always in whatever he does too. Looking forward to the musical and the music. And I still have QAL, for as long as it lasts, so I get my rock fix and he gets the recognition. HA. And "Velvet" was a masterpiece and should have received more than pop consideration, imo.
So great to see Adam out and about and mingling with fellow stars!
Actually I got the feeling that was just his standard "non" answer to the new music question...that answer pretty much covers every genre. I don't think it even necessarily means he's working on new music yet. Although it would be really nice if he were.

I was imaging Adam could have joined Elton in the "It's a Sin" song remake.. or maybe have Brian Roger joining in to Queenify the arrangement. Wouldn't THAT be interesting!

Oooooh, Adam could have brought ALL the drama to that song. Olly tried a little bit, but Adam would have been so much more dramatic.

From the Variety article.....appears Olly was chosen for the duet based on his history with "It's a sin"
Most recently, Alexander starred on HBO’s “It’s A Sin,” which takes place in the London club scene in the 1980s, and appeared alongside Elton John on the 2021 BRIT Awards, performing the Pet Shop Boys classic after which the show was named.

Lovely thought but really just clickbait I am sure. Adam would be great as Elvis or George Michael...but his voice is just too different from Boy George's....and they are friends...I doubt very much he would want to do that one at all.

I think you're right, Mszue...I can't see the Adam/BG concept at all. I agree that most of those kinds of articles are clickbait.

Spike Edney is interviewed at length in the “On Tour” podcast with Brian Ray. Adam is mentioned a few times very briefly, but it’s a great interview.
