Actually I got the feeling that was just his standard "non" answer to the new music question...that answer pretty much covers every genre. I don't think it even necessarily means he's working on new music yet. Although it would be really nice if he were. I wonder if he will ever go back to a major label again? I know we've all been round and round with this topic for a long time. It seems that other singers manage to hop around from genre to genre effortlessly. I know some of them have strong major label support. But they manage to be basically "genre-free." Adam's song are not all pure pop. His songs have been as varied as the majority of other major singers. Actually, it just takes one really successful song to get the momentum to take you to whichever genre you want to do. Adam's had a few pretty strong songs. Velvet was full of strong songs, IMO. I think his reply was purposely kind of generic just to answer the question. I hope his next round of album work has that one song that just explodes. Makes a big difference. And no way would Adam play Boy George. Total mis-match! |

I think you're right, Mszue...I can't see the Adam/BG concept at all. I agree that most of those kinds of articles are clickbait. I agree. And I want to add: Adam himself is a known singer. It makes absolutely no sense, that the leadsinger for Queen plays another singer. That simply doesn’t work. But didn't Jennifer Hudson do a biopic of somebody? I don't watch the biopics, so I don't know what the norm is, but Adam doesn't even resemble Boy George at all. I mean, the person acting would have to at least have a bit of a resemblance to the person they're trying to portray, I would think. Makeup can only do so much. |

Jennifer Hudson did a bio pic about Aretha Franklin. Aretha hand-picked Jennifer for the role. She's a good choice, IMO. This Jennifer's luck, she'll get an Oscar for it. The movie is coming out fairly soon.
I'm sure there's some actor out there who will be perfect for the BG role. But definitely not Adam.
