@prncessdsturbia: Not my photo. Adam sure is looking sheik. Anybody know what beverage he’s sitting on? /photo/1 I don’t think that‘s a beverage. It looks like one of these boxes that entertainers use for touring. To put all their stuff in. www.sir-usa.com/

Even now, Runnin is the 3rd most streamed of Adam's songs every week! Twice as many streams as the 4th most streamed song (IIHY) & 12 times as many streams as the 10th most streamed song (Superpower). Only Ghost Town & WWFM have more weekly streams! What a missed opportunity that Runnin was nor on the main album and not made a single! It is THE most streamed song from Trespassing! skaschep: Congrats @adamlambert with 5⃣3⃣ million streams on Spotify for #Runnin'! 🎉 Now 53,012,944 streams (+45,266)! 🎧 (22 May 2021) #NowPlaying skaschep: 💚@adamlambert's most streamed solo songs 🎧 16 - 22 May 2021: 🎧 #1 Ghost Town +425,869 #2 WWFM +421,480 #3 Runnin' +311,043 #4 If I Had You +148,359 #5 FYE +87,712 #6 NCOE +52,253⬆️ #7 Believe +51,580 #8 BTIKM +37,043 #9 Trespassing +28,994 #10 Superpower +26,851 twitter.com/skaschep/status/1396858533300248583/photo/1

Kelsea Ballerini represented Country. Adam represented Rock. And some young guy (can't remember his name) represented Pop. I really hope we will see Adam getting opportunities like that again. It was so much fun to see him in that campaign. He was hot, lol.

So American Idol wrapped up with a WGWG winning yet again! I have to admit his original song is very catchy -- of course, it is a reiteration of songs you have heard many times -- and I think it will do well on country radio. It will be interesting to see if it crosses over to pop radio. The contestant, Chayce Beckham, did come across as genuine. It is interesting how some people, like Adam, can reach through your television screen and make a connection. bamafan posted last night that the number 3 contestant from a couple of seasons ago, Gabby Barret, won some Billboard Awards. Her song with Charlie Puth did make the crossover from country to pop. Of the three women nominated for Best Female Country artist, two of them got a start on American Idol. I noticed that Gabby didn't mention the show in her long list of thank yous. LOL So no Adam this season. I was trying to remember if this is the first time since 2009 he hasn't been on an AI season???

I enjoyed that Macy's campaign, too. At our local Macy's, there were those huge in-store banners that hung in a particular department. Along with some other stars, there was Adam, proudly hanging from the ceiling, gorgeous as ever.
The girl who came in third on Idol is from a Chicago suburb just north of me. I don't watch the show, but she got lots of local media support in recent weeks. I thought she might have a chance because we live in a very highly populated area with lots of potential voters for her. But it looks like the country fans won this time. I heard that the guy who came in second has a great voice, too. All the finalists of any season have very good voices. Good luck to them.
It's not really about how many people voted for you. It's all about how those same voters support you for the long haul, like like Glamberts do for Adam.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the second and third runners-up. They both have weight issues and both lost weight before being on the show. I think that was mentioned at the auditions and wasn’t mentioned again. Not like the past when Simon would point it out! Just shows how things have changed with the body acceptance movement.
I get the feeling that Adam still struggles with weight and image issues.

I think all the last contestants were quite close, but the real country guy withdrew after a controversial video came out. The winner then doubled down on country music, though he was more of a reggae musician before.

Adam has said that he always struggled to control is weight. Some really popular singers, like Adele and Lizzo, are not naturally thin. I know Adele did lose a lot of weight in the past few years. If the public likes someone enough, their looks don't matter very much. Not every huge star is slim and handsome or slim and pretty. It boils down to whether a singer some sort of charisma or good personality that connects with the audience. And whether they have good acceptable music. But it doesn't always have to the best music either. It's a combination of the perfect mix of things plus good timing and lots of luck.
