Adam Reveals "Better Than I Know Myself" & Trespassing Release Dates

Adam Lambert is back with a vengeance! Yesterday the pop star tweeted the cover art and a 30 second snippet of his highly anticipated new single "Better Than I Know Myself." Not only that, Adam revealed that fans can download the single this Tuesday December 20th from all digital providers.

Adam also announced that his new album, Trespassing, will be available everywhere March 20th. Fans can pre-order Trespassing exclusively at Adamofficial.com on Monday December 19th. Fans who pre-order from Adam's Site will receive "Better Than I Know Myself" as a free download when the song is released on Tuesday December 20th.



Adam Lambert 'Better Than I Know Myself' Song Debuts



The 'American Idol' star's new mid-tempo track is a Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly production about a lover who knows you inside and out. "Cause if I wanted to go I would have gone by now/ But I really need you near me to/ Keep my mind off the edge/ If I wanted to leave I would have left by now/ But you're the only one that knows me/ Better than I know myself," Lambert belts out on the epic piano ballad.

Glambert's gifted vocals soar on the new song. It's no wonder legendary rock band Queen is making moves to make him their new lead singer!

After months of patience, the wait is finally over, Glamberts. A few days shy of the digital retail release, Adam Lambert‘s new single, “Better Than I Know Myself,” has hit the internet.

On the track, Adam paints himself as a temperamental lover who often does and says things that would make his love believe he’s ready to bolt. “Cold as ice and more bitter than a December winter night/That’s how I treated you/And I know that I, I sometimes tend to lose my temper/And I cross the line/Yeah that’s the truth,” he sings over the moody instrumental on the first verse. But even though his actions say one thing, Adam’s not leaving and he needs his guy to stand by his side as well. He makes that clear on the soaring chorus. “If I wanted to go I would have gone by now/I really need you near me to keep my mind off the edge/If I wanted to leave I would have left by now/But you’re the only one who knows me better than I know myself.”

The last time Adam blended honesty, vulnerability, and finely tuned vocals so seamlessly he produced “Whataya Want From Me” and earned himself a Grammy nomination. Can he do it again? We wouldn’t be surprised.

“Better Than I Know Myself” leads Adam’s highly-anticipated sophomore album, Trespassing, due March 20.
