If someone held a gun to my head and told me I HAD to pick something about BTIKM that I didn't love I would say the ending. I kinda don't like the way it just peters out. But that is a tiny drop in the bucket of incredible lusciousness. I just like more bombastic endings I guess. I'm hoping that ending is because of the radio cut to allow the djs to talk over the beginning and ending and the album cut will have more of a period at the end. That was one of my peeves at several of the FYE songs too but at least live he always ended with an exclamation. |

Several people mentioned they thought the lyrics were schmaltzy and/or cheezy. I don't get that. What love song doesn't have cheezy lyrics? I dunno, can't think of any.
I think the lyrics of BTIKM are beautiful and it is part of the reason I love the song! I loved the lyrics when I heard Claude's version. But imagining Adam with Sauli now, and that he is NOT alone.... could not be more perfect.

GUUUUUUUUUUUYS. Just dropping by to say that I haven't had that immediate ZOMG THIS IS GONNA SMASH feeling about any of Adam's songs. Ever. I mean I had immediate ZOMG I PERSONALLY FLOVE THIS SONG feelings about cuts on FYE but nothing that made me sit back and think, yep, this is gonna be a big hit. I mean I could be wrong, but......NO. Ya know what? I am gonna commit to this fully.... THIS SONG IS GONNA SMASH YO. SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH. And I really respect your young, hip, "snarky Chunkey" opinion!  |

Hi, I am migrating here from another site. Loving the positive vibe here.  . I followed a link to Miachihu and Zinnia's impressive translations of Sauli entertaining blog. Looked around and decided to stay. I am pop music fan - loving "BTIKM. The vocals are brilliant and upfront. Couldnt stop listening last night. Not enough vocal skillz in today's POP. YAH !! For non auto-tuned POP at last ! New Adam feels good 8-)  |

I can't remember hearing the phrase "I sometimes tend to lose my temper" or the word "obnoxious" used in any other song, and those very down-to-earth statements are the antithesis of cheesy. I find the lyrics to be honest and heartfelt in a way that is rare for pop music. At the same time, there is great poetry in them. |

I am proud for Adam and on the "train" for lyrics that are true and have depth.Sure beats Katy Perry's ...(floating like a plastic bag in the wind) and Firework blew up! ...So this bodes well for a sincere well written song...sung with stellar vocals!!! Wow welcome to all the lurkers and new posters...even ATOP is goin' BIG! BIG BIG BIG and over the Top with fabulousness!! And profile names that must bare a story or two!!! |
