Have we seen any news from Queen on South America? Or is somebody jumping the gun?

Have we seen any news from Queen on South America? Or is somebody jumping the gun? According to Roger QAL had the Rhapsody tour in South America planned for late 2020. They were (almost) ready to announce it, when the Corona Virus hit. Everything got postponed. Then they were (inofficially?) announced as one of the headliners for Rock in Rio 2021, which was again postponed. Ergo: The South American tour is looong overdue and waiting in the wings, just behind the European leg of the Rhapsody tour.

I do remember the original plans for the tour, but I was talking about the 2022 announcement. It seems like we've been seeing rumors about a SA leg of the tour, but don't have any concrete confirmation from Queen itself. ETA: I really do hope that it happens...fans there have been asking for a long time.

But Roger told us in an interview that they had the SA tour ready to announce in 2020 and that they had to postpone it as well as the European tour. So I don’t have any doubts, that it’s still planned and that the source is correct.

Thanks, Nightowl. I'm not on twitter and don't follow Queen, so I wasn't sure if I had missed an announcement. Although it's rare that something that big wouldn't get posted here.

It is so wonderful to see so much professional activity for Adam. Stonewall and the lead up activities surrounding it were great achievements. The two tv shows he will be judging. We The People and the song on the Cinderella soundtrack. Vegas still to come. QAL tour to look forward to. Working on his musical and the album soundtrack. Lots of press and coverage for him. And on top of all of that, he was able to host a party at his home with friends and other artists/entertainers in attendance. After the past year, it is nice to see him bouncing back and going full force.
We may not get an official announcement from QAL about Rock in Rio or any South American tour until the pandemic is brought somewhat under control in that region. But even a hint of it for 2022 is very exciting as it seemed to be in the works before the pandemic hit.

And not sure how quickly it can be brought under control, as Bolsinaro is basically another T. I'm not sure how their vaccinations are going, either.
