:D So odd. ??? I'm checking on 97.3 song history for today to see when they played BTIKM, and I don't see it listed anywhere for today. radioalice.radio.com/playlistYeah, i noticed that also. When someone mentioned that the station had played it several times today and would probably play it again soon, I tuned in, and then it played shortly afterwards. But i couldn't find it listed on their song history. Maybe they only list officially added songs? IDK. But a couple of other Bay Area berts heard it at the same time I did :D Good to know it wasn't only me.. :  Just wanted to see if they follow a pattern so I can catch it one of these days. I never listen to radio normally. |

Thanks Q3 for your explanation.
But on the add date vs. impact date vs. release date, we are really all three (Q3, Rihannsu and I) saying basically the same thing, that they are different things, but people get them all mixed up....
Release date: controlled by label (I was not even focused on that, but Rihannsu brought it up)
Add date: Controlled by individual radio station or the group they belong to (Cumulus, etc)
Impact date: is a target date set by the label and used to communicate the label's plan
On the platinum certification thing, we obviously think differently. I doubted that RCA would write this when it is not true. Are you saying they are that bad that they don't even get their own Platinum certifications right in their official public announcements? Somehow, I certainly don't think that RCA always has their act together, but that it is that bad?????? Yikes.
To be honest, I have a hard time believing that. I am more inclined to believe they are holding back that certification info for some reason, i.e. an announcement on idol or something.

What a great day to follow reihmer around ;D I love the Santa hat you are wearing and VERY BIG THANK YOU for all the awesome pics. You and Gelly are my heros  Okay, so far the count with my clan.....oldest son- waiting for uptempo/ loved WWFM, youngest son - likes the song/thinks it is a bit depressing/still likes it, granddaughter likes the song and is going to buy off iTunes tonight. (Of course granddaughter buys it because she is still on her mothers iTunes account and can buy what she wants and her Mom pays ;D) Oldest son, do not want to talk about him, he does not buy music, pisses me off to no end, he did tell me when a Adam song comes out that he likes he will buy it to keep Mom happy . Youngest song only listens to radio, good news is he doesn't steal. Last but VERY IMPORTANT, for anyone wondering about dear friend Mika. Computer has a virus, Mika is still a Adamtopian, he saw our smoke signals and checked in. He knows we care and had sent out the bloodhounds ;D I am SO pleased right now for Mika!! Thank you!!  |

Limited time to post, but want to check in. But just wrote a longish post and accidentally erased it --ugh! Trying again. With no special performance seemingly lining up with the single release, ive been wondering if the early release was partly to test market strength in various areas to help determine where to focus money and promo and to keep media momentum going after EMA's? Support this thinking. Somehow it feels like painting the background for next step. I even thought that this might not be the single planned for January, but totally different to make way for the January release. Not misunderstand me, I love BTIKM  I agree with this. It feels to me like they're building a foundation for what comes next. And yes, maybe acquiring more information to fine-tune the plan. I have no idea what is going to happen but it's gonna be good! I think they know that Adam has not only a potential hit single but also potentially a break-out album. I knew it was going to be a good week!! Yay for the itunes sales and the radio play! And I loooved the blog that said that this album could take Adam from pop superstar to MUSIC ROYALTY, which we all know he should be! Cayman, thanks for the information about Mika. I was wondering what happened. So glad that he's still here. Enjoyed his posts a lot and would have missed them. Reihmer, thanks for the photos, ESPECIALLY the Japan promo one with the *poncho* and the hat and the feathers and the LEGS. And also the close-up with the intense eyes and the changing light. WOW. Gelly, thanks for posting that vid of Adam and the band in the van. Kind of a sweet view of Adam, a little intimate but it didn't seem too intrusive. And it's great that the band is rehearsing, whatever it's about! I really can't keep up with the threads right now. But also want to say that there was a close-up gif of Sauli and Katri a few days ago in which Sauli looked the best (to me) that he has ever looked. Very nice, and cute smile. To me he looks better without the very dark tan. I live in the Wilmington/Philly area -- I guess I'll have to start listening to the radio again! I want to hear Adam randomly in the supermarket and the dentist's office and Lowes and Staples etc. etc. Even though the local stations supposedly play Adam a lot, in 2009-2010 it seemed to me that I was always hearing Kris Allen (both Live Like We're Dying and The Truth), and rarely heard Adam and WWFM or IIHY. And just a few weeks ago I walked into Staples and to my chagrin heard Kris Allen singing "Allright with Me". Not that I hate him or anything, but really??? Where's Adam?! I guess those are all the HAC stations being played in those locations maybe? And I'm sure it's going to change anyway. Good times! |
