He's got a point. This! I hate it when people make it sound like Adam is some one hit wonder that quietly disappeared after AI...he didn't. I know fans mean well, but those kinds of comments are all over just about every YT video.

This! I hate it when people make it sound like Adam is some one hit wonder that quietly disappeared after AI...he didn't. I know fans mean well, but those kinds of comments are all over just about every YT video. I understand the frustration. But to me, it seemed Adam did "quietly disappear after AI" to that tweeter. As he has for quite a few people who don't care about QAL or haven't made a point to follow his career. Of course that's not the case, but if people don't pay particular attention to an artist, it can seem that way. Especially if that artist isn't one of the inescapable ones you'd have to work hard to ignore - and even then, some people don't have any idea of what they're up to. Of course, some of those types of comments are from fans who know perfectly well he didn't disappear, but just think he should be even more well known and successful than he is. Unfortunately it can come across like they're saying he's not successful at all, but given the identities of some of those posters, I doubt that's what they actually intend to say. I've said it before, and I know many don't agree, but I'd rather have people saying "He's awesome and deserves better" than "What an overrrated, undeserving hack." I'm very grateful for that now-viral tweet. It's gratifying to see such support for Adam. The fact that so many had no idea what happened to him post-AMAs is pretty interesting, but I'm glad to see it being brought to light for them now.

I am thrilled by that viral tweet, too. It's getting Adam some attention outside the fanbase and educating people on some important moments in gay rights history.
After discovering Adam, I learned that "knowing" about an artist all depends on "who you follow." If you don't follow Billie Eilish (who is at the top of the heap} then you don't know what she is doing. Same with Lil Nas and so on. If you don't follow Adam, you don't realize how much he has accomplished in the past twelve years. To many, he just disappeared after Idol. It's good that this Lil Nas story has brought Adam into the spotlight and made lots of people aware of his career and his contribution to supporting gay issues. It's good that he is now on ore people's radar.
And for those who saw my made-up conversation on last night's thread, I'm sorry that it was confusing. I was being sarcastic. I wrote:
Lil Nas X: "Thank you, Adam Lambert." Adam: "You're welcome."
It wasn't an actual conversation between them. Sorry if I misled anyone. Unintentional.

Haha, Girldrummer, I was just saying yesterday that sarcasm doesn't translate well online. I have to remember to add an emoji or something because I tend to be a sarcastic person in general lol.

Always love seeing first-timers react so wonderfully to Adam's vocals and overall talent. This guy really "gets it."
