Gah, it's really stupid how our entertainment media works. The moment someone does something remotely stupid it's top news. The million dollars Adam encouraged his fans to raise for charity is not news anywhere. It's a sad sad world we live in, where you can't be human if you're famous and journalists do not bother to fact check their articles.

He's not making a Disney movie! He's releasing a Pop song. Why would this need any damage control? Sorry, just do not see it! Sorry, who said this needs damage control? It is what it is. Adam got drunk, acted like an asshole and ended up in jail in a foreign country. This has nothing to do with what type of music he's releasing or who his base audience is. It has everything to do with acting and behaving like an adult. This in no way, shape or form should be viewed as a win for Adam. JMO You know, I usually just lurk, but the criticism being leveled at Adam when he has not even had a chance to defend himself and when there have been no charges against either of them, made me delurk today. I have to ask, how do we know this is how Adam acted? The answer is, we don't. We have no idea how he acted--this is all just rumor. We only know that he was arrested and spent a few hours in jail. I did see that some places were at least placing an "allegedly" in their headlines, as we all know how difficult it is to get the facts straight in these kinds of stories. Just wanted to point that out. Ok, back to lurking...

May I just say, as NoAngel and rabbitrabbit posted, I HATE the fact that this site is now fair game for entertainment sites as a source of news. We are just fans discussing things. We should not be used as a second hand source of news. It is not fair to us as a fan community to have to censor anything we say or bring over here. Contact people directly or go to tweeter to find things out straight from the source. Q3, I think we should consider adding a disclaimer at the top of every page on this site, saying something like "This site reflects the OPINIONS of some Adam Lambert fans and should not be taken as a source of news" or something. I'm sure our lawyers who post here can help us phrase it.I appreciate the sentiment but this is a public forum --- and a statement like the one suggested would not prohibit someone from quoting a comment. > I do not believe it will happen. Never has before. > If one comment was presented as the opinion of this forum, I have the right to get that corrected and will. > This is a discussion forum not a news site. If a news site was going to get fan comments, they would do it with a proper release. If some cheezy fake blog with no editorial policy copied some comments from here, I will get it removed. But in 2-1/2 of following Adam, no one has ever used a comment from ATop 1 or 2, or PF to a news site. That includes during the AMA aftermath. Setting that aside -- I have read several pages and really don't see anything posted here that is that unusual. Same comments are being posted all over the web. And thankfully Adam has a lot of goodwill with the press -- they are treating this pretty kindly. This is not a small story, but it also is a pretty simple story and will not last very long UNLESS there is more to it than we now know.

well that was fast - it is Top Story on "People"". I just happened to be reading the lastest and it popped up. well, the editor of the mag just revelealed themselves, every now and then I check if they would have a story or pics of Adam, but no, nothing about the single being out or of Queen (at least I didn't see). And now they have with this, top story. ..... >:( Revealed themselves how? People is basically a "high class" gossip rag. They don't report on music releases or performances that are amazing. They report on things that are sensational and gossip worthy. Adam is no different than any other celebrity. When he makes a misstep the tabloids are gonna be there to report it. Perhaps taking that into consideration in the future would be wise of Adam (and Sauli).

I haven't read the thread yet. Overall, I think Adam needs to evaluate his abuse of alcohol and he is so lucky to have Sauli. Setting that aside -- unless there is a lot more to this, it will not be a mega story. It happened going into Christmas, in Finland, and it was alcohol vs. drugs. It will make more work for whoever is doing Adam's PR but both DMG and RCA have dealt with tougher issues before. (For example: Chris Brown is an RCA artist. I am not comparing Adam to Chris Brown but just saying that RCA has dealt with worse.) Sauli is amazing and I am now totally in love with him. His blog was perfect.Oddly, it has taken a song that I liked but did not really see as "owned" by Adam. Now this song has a very different meaning to me..... Cold as ice And more bitter than a December Winter night That's how I treated you And I know that I I sometimes tend to lose my temper And I cross the line Yeah that's the truth
I know it gets hard sometimes But I could never Leave your side No matter what I say [/quote not sure what you mean by alchohol v drugs, but i couldn't help but think if they were just partaking in a bit of MJ sans ETOH we probably wouldn't be having this story. interesting you should reference CB, trying to put that out of my mind. if sauli were a shirley i wonder how our reactions would have been. true that. sauli is amazing.

I deleted my last post. I have no desire to be quoted elsewhere saying anything less than positive about AFL. Too bad we have to worry about that here. I'll just reiterate: I have no desire for that either! Can someone dm a link to mtv3 quotes - I'm fucking paranoid they quoted ME. ???

adamlambert Adam Lambert Jetlag+Vodka=blackout. Us÷blackout=irrational confusion. jail+guilt+press=lesson learned. Sauli+Adam+hangover burgers= laughing bout it. This plus Sauli's is kind of perfect. Adam is not perfect and as someone said way back on one of the pages I am trying to catch up on, Adam is passionate + not perfect = human
