Just as the AMAs separated the wheat from the chaff of the fandom, this may also. Outside of stanning Mother Theresa, shit's going to happen, even self-imposed shit, when following any celebrity or person in your real life. If not, they've probably led a sad, lonely life. Adam is sorry, they're dealing with it, and we have no right to expect him to explain himself to us........... but of course the tweet made me feel so much better because logic has no place in my love of all things Adam. I didn't know what seperate the wheat from the chaff meant so I looked it up So those of us who don't brush this off or make excuses for Adam aren't as high quality of fan as those that do? Good to know. You can love someone, faults and all, and still acknowledge that what they did was idiotic and stupid. That's not making a judgment, that's just stating the obvious IMO I agree with you 100% wonderstruck. I do not believe that this incident was a big deal and do not believe Adam is, ever was, or ever will be a boy scout. And that is OK, he is a rock and roll star. I do think that if anyone -- Adam Lambert, JunieMoon, Pope Benedict, makes a scene in public that is of sufficient magnitude to get themselves thrown in the hoosegow, after embarking on a drunk that results in a blackout (Adam's own words) ... that it is a dumb and self-defeating thing to do. I love Adam beyond words, but jeez, this isn't a cult where we all have to march in lockstep.

"Scuffling," or whatever, doesn't give me pause. "Black out" does. By definition it means out of control. That opinion does not make me a "pearl-clutcher" or less of a fan.
I do not think this kind of media helps him at all.

I've never been one to care if it's a popular opinion or not. It's reality. If this were anyone else, like Durbin or Cook or Kris we'd be outraged at this behavior. It does Adam no favors to excuse this away as being meaningless or all good because any press is good press. NO, he needs to get himself under control and if he can't handle his alcohol better than that he should stop drinking. Will this ultimately hurt him careerwise? no, I don't think it will because sadly this kind of behavior from celebrities is the norm. I always hoped and thought Adam would be above this. Outraged? Hardly. In fact, it's thinking about this happening to someone else that calms me down about Adam. If I read this story about another celebrity, I have no doubt I'd just shrug, probably say, "That was kinda stupid," and move on with my life. I worry about things like this with Adam, but good grief, compared to many other celebrities, he's a choir boy. I don't want him to make a habit of this behavior, but he's not Chris Brown beating up his girlfriend, or John Mayer making racist comments in a Playboy article. He got into a minor scuffle outside a bar and was temporarily detained by the police while they investigated the matter. It's really not that big a deal. Perhaps outraged was the wrong word....I doubt most people would be brushing it off as no big deal though. You are right that he's not Chris Brown or John Mayer but just because it didn't rise to that level of behavior doesn't mean that it wasn't a big deal. Adam was arrested. Anyway you slice it, that's kind of a big deal.

In light of today's news, and as a frequent lurker, I've decided I've been riding this roller coaster alone for too long. "Hello, my name is Cat, and I'm an Adam fan."

Can someone take me to the blackout post? It's personally important and I can't spend the time going through the pages right now.
