I was in the shower, trying to wash away the dismay of this morning's posts, when I remembered a funny story. The very first time I met the guy who is now my bff(1996) , he had stormed into our office, my first day, and was half laughing/half crying that he had a fight with his partner and shoved him into the bath tub in anger. Everyone was consoling him then forcing him to go home and rectify things (it was Key West, no one lived more than a mile or so away.) He did and that was the last I heard of it. They celebrated their 30th anniversary together last July. I have stayed with them for a week at a time and it warms my heart to see them as a couple. I called X (as opposed to Y) when I got out of the tub and gave him a rundown of what was going on. First of all, he said they have never had a physical altercation since, nor before, and when they talked about it they realized boys are taught never to hit a girl, but when you're angry at another guy, sometimes you don't think. His conclusion, which I choose to hold close to my heart, is that if Adam and Sauli love one another, they will kiss and make up and short of the embarrassment of it being worldwide news, things will get back to normal. That's why he's my bff, he always says the right thing. I'll call Y later and see his take, and what he thought of being the pushee as opposed to being the pusher. Ha, Ha. Great story! This is what I have been thinking. When you get right down to it, these are two boys. This may be embarrassing but the incident was mild enough not to warrant any charges being filed and they do seem to have kissed and made up.

Break my heart he's in another Country and he's completely alone. My first thought too. He's in a strange country with no one and no protectors. The coming out of jail will probably be brutal. Guess there won't be a meet and greet with the parents. :( I'm not so pessimistic about the family's take on all of this. If the Finnish Fins are anything like the Yuppers Yoopers I know, this will not harm the relationship.

Guys. Just so ya know--two reported incidents of bad drunken behavior where the details are fuzzy at best (and one was solely reported by a known shit stirrer) does not constitute having an alcohol problem. Yeah that kinda behavior is dumb as shit but it doesn't mean he is an alcoholic. I know lots of people who have done stupid shit when drunk--myself included--and none of us are alkies. Let's save our worrying in case he actually does have a problem down the road...so far it just seems to me like a good time gone bad and compounded by dumb decisions. We have all had nights like those...we just never had to live em out in the public eye. This^^^! And may I add that doing 117+ shows with no cancellations does not indicate to me that Adam has a "problem." It also does not indicate that people dealing with him professionally are going to start worrying about dealing with him. I haven't seen one single story or interview or comment from anyone who has worked with him that he is anything less than 100% professional! Let's see, a Rock Star got drunk, had a scuffle, spent a few hours sobering up in the local jail. No charges were pressed. No story here, moving on.......

Awww guys I'm loving all this drama! I think Adam's gonna get some major street cred over this & the publicity will only draw attention to his new single. It's a total win! And ya gotta admit, being an Adam fan is never boring. ;D ;D ;D

Oh, and I think I may love Toby Knapp. I know, I have been giving him hits all morning and I don't usually click on stories. More bees with honey.

But many of us know from examples in our own families that alcoholism can sneak up on a person, and the line between "I just like to celebrate" and "Help me, I'm in trouble" can be a fine one. Or, in familiar words, "It's a thin line 'tween a wild time and a flat line." I'm not worried yet. But I'm hoping Adam meant it when he said "lesson learned."

Maybe the police officers in Finland were Adam's fans and wanted to spend some time with him. For an offence so small with no weapons or really hurting people a fight like that would have been just to separate the guyes and advise them to go home.))
