Guys. Just so ya know--two reported incidents of bad drunken behavior where the details are fuzzy at best (and one was solely reported by a known shit stirrer) does not constitute having an alcohol problem. Yeah that kinda behavior is dumb as shit but it doesn't mean he is an alcoholic. I know lots of people who have done stupid shit when drunk--myself included--and none of us are alkies. Let's save our worrying in case he actually does have a problem down the road...so far it just seems to me like a good time gone bad and compounded by dumb decisions. We have all had nights like those...we just never had to live em out in the public eye. This^^^! And may I add that doing 117+ shows with no cancellations does not indicate to me that Adam has a "problem." It also does not indicate that people dealing with him professionally are going to start worrying about dealing with him. I haven't seen one single story or interview or comment from anyone who has worked with him that he is anything less than 100% professional! Let's see, a Rock Star got drunk, had a scuffle, spent a few hours sobering up in the local jail. No charges were pressed. No story here, moving on....... We totally need a "thumbs up" smilie. I completely agree. You can have loose, free and "balls out" Adam on stage and expect him to be a good boy off stage. It was a stupid mistake, I hope he learns from it... but I agree there is no story here.

You can count me in this team. I have two sons and have intervened in a number of squabbles over Legos. They have both ended up in time out. It is a teaching moment and not a disaster.

Hmm. Hi all - been a while! I've been quietly delighted re BTIKM, though, and the awesome press.
Re this latest kerfuffle: I think it's easy to forget how different Adam's life is. He lives on the edge, as both an artist and a celebrity. This puts him in situations that many of us could never imagine. This is not to excuse him, but to offer a bit of context. I think many folks here get that, but I wanted to offer the thought up as we continue to process what, initially, was some rather alarming news!

Adam is not alone in Finland, he is with the guy with whom he's been living for several months and it seems that that guy is very very special to him:)))

wow- much ado about nothing! Like always: Gates open - gates will close. Not going to worry....but I expect to read a lot of crap for a few days. Forcefield up - Adam taught us that one. He will need it too, so we might as well join him there.
I think publicly all will be fine when this is over. Adam got a bit closer to the lyrics in his song than I ever could imagine and if in interviews he is ever asked about this incident, he can change focus onto his song - almost eery how this works.
I too had til today the perception that while Adam wanted his lyrics on the new album to be very real and much closer to home, that the lyrics of BTIKM were casting a more extreme picture than really befitted him. And now reality has kind of proven me wrong. Still have trouble imagining Adam as "cold as ice", see him rather as the opposite, but I guess, the rest pretty much became reality.
Adam went onto a reality show and in many ways I think that three years later - he is still on it, just that it is now running 7 by 24. And we have become not only the audience, but also the Simons and the Paulas and the Randys in this saga - the judges. And I think we should more be the fans.
The lines between fandom, real personal life, media-world and art are blurring in surreal ways here and I am starting to find this whole thing spooky in a The Truman Show kind of way and I am trying to figure out how to remove myself a bit from the scene and yet I am living under that same tent where all this show is happening.
Personal side...that's his business, my job is to support him as a fan, not drag more of his personal life into this public place here. So therefore, I'll keep my thoughts to myself, most things were somewhere said already by others anyhow.
The one thing I do want to comment though is that I struggle with the fact that media is now officially coming in here, signing up as users, posting links to the English translation version of their Finnish articles, to get hits to their site out of our Adamtopia traffic.
It's the first time I am a bit hesitant to welcome somebody here. WTF. So tomorrow the National Enquirer and every lousy blogger in this world comes signing up here, first using our texts (heard this here, did not follow up on that, so not sure what was used) and then posting their articles here with links to get the 10-20K hits they can potentially get out of this site. I understand that what we are writing here is public, but grrrrr..talk about blurring the line and changing the roles of the participants in this reality game. Me not likey. I understand that this site is open to all, but I thought it was a fan site, not a site for media, who I presume are not fans. I realize they could sign on anonymously and post the same links and we would never know, but still. Was kinda taken aback by that. We know here since a while that some media are picking their info from our archives, but using our posts and placing their links here is different, imo. Will need to think about all that some more. Am I the only one concerned about this?

Awwww. Cancel that trip to Lapland. Adam is probably on Santa's naughty list now. *giggle snort* Adam has, last time I checked, 409 google news mentions regarding this incident. That's crazy huh? Adam is officially a media magnet I guess.

Well, ew.com picked up the story, too: music-mix.ew.com/2011/12/22/adam-lambert-arrested-finland/(Caution: reader comments on this site are often unpleasant.) Gotta admit, I'm a bit annoyed. EW.com wrote nothing about the release of BTIKM, but of course, they reported the arrest. So goes the media ... Adam will prevail.
