Andrew Lloyd Webber was involved in the live TV production of Jesus Christ Superstar, so I guess he's had the chance to hear what Adam is capable of. I always hoped he would do something else with Adam after having had that experience, so when we first heard he's invited Adam to sing on Cinderella's soundtrack, I assumed that must be why. But Adam wasn't involved in the TV production of JCS. Why would Webber have had an opportunity to hear Adam in it? Or is my memory faulty? Adam is usually very tight-lipped about his projects, but he hinted at that project so strongly, I took for granted that he had the role of Judas and that it was a done deal. It seemed like something that fell through at the last minute. I always forget that it was never confirmed (and probably never will).

It coincided with him leaving Warner and going independent, so I assume to this day that management change had something to do with it. I actually believe that we will learn more about it eventually.

Eventhough IT wasnt officially confirmed i also think Adam was supposed to be involved. He congratulated every Performer that was announced and the new Judas Had No clue about the Musical and the role and didnt Seem too fond of the Outfit that Had Adam written all over it. I think some Ninjas were on IT that rehearsals got delayed and it collided with Adams Other Projects. ...If i indeed remember all this correctly

cassie — That song has some very rock sounds for a musical theater number. Begins rock and roll — then very musical theater in the story-telling middle — ends arena rock to the stratosphere! Agreed. Musical theater and Rock have become combined for a while. Jesus Christ Superstar is a good example. Rent is another one that comes to mind. And there is a lot more belting in modern musicals. To me, the song sounds like musical theater still because Adam's voice is still rich, very well controlled, pure, exact, and very dramatic. He's all that :

That was the way I felt about it too and I loved it. If the change was unintentional they likely would have re-recorded.
I think the beauty of Adam is that he checks many boxes and can do so much and do it very well. The Prayer (with that opera singer from Israel) was wonderful. Not sure what category it belongs in but it was great. In The Ten Commandments musical he was magical. And of course there were other musical theater productions where he stood out. And there is no doubt he is great in rock. Whole Lotta Love, Purple Haze, anything Queen. He made millions singing those songs on his solo and QAL tours. He even has a few rock and pop/rock cuts on all of his albums. Most were not singles but they were really good. And he stands above the masses with his emotional ballads (covers as well as his own work).
I would love for Adam to record a rock album and I hope the rock musical soundtrack will be that avenue. But would also love to see him in another musical with a bigger part than RHP, tho, he was great in that too. TV or in the theater would be fine with me. Just don't want to ever go thru such aggressive fan speculation again only for everyone to be majorly disappointed when it doesn't happen. JCS was just brutal, lol.

In the Man's Man song where they sing about how awesome Prince Charming was, there seems to be a mentioning of "swinging from chandeliers" I cannot locate the lyrics of the song online yet, so I might be hearing things: "Someone to share a beer with Or to hear all your woes and troubles Or to swing from the chandeliers What a Man's Man man" youtu.be/vMb6iYOVBuA?list=PLqtDYZpzYwR_vIQlpo-ZcIsxLy5F0mCWw&t=93Hearing your woes and troubles is also an Adam thing...

They've got the background singers turned up way too loud.

Just listened to his song - now that was entertaining. Can you hear him put the "Do you love me, did you miss me?" in his shows? Everything was giggle out loud even if I'm not sure if he actually survived or not.
