We all love Adam. And almost everyone here love a great photo or animated GIF of him. BUT (why is there always a big but?) BUT some of our members do not have high speed internet access and, when we get page after page of picture spam and the related animated GIF spam, they can read some of the pages.

So I have three simple requests that will allow everyone to enjoy their time at this forum…..

1. If a picture has been posted before, don’t post it unless there is a point. We have a great thread for posting random pic spam located in the Fun & Games Section….Photo thread is here: adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=se&action=display&thread=17

2. If you find new photos or have a point to make that can be best expressed with a photo or two, please post away. Just limit the number of photos per post to a maximum of 5. Often one photo have more impact than 5 for 10 – which is why the expression is “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

3. When you quote a post with a photo in it, take a minute and delete the image from the quote. The image will start with the code and end with [/IMG]. It will just take a second to do but really help out members with a slower internet connection.

Allure of Sound’s Top 50 Singles Of 2011

As the first year of Allure of Sound (Pop In Stereo will be missed) comes to an end, I wanted to do a quick rundown of my favorite singles released in 2011. All the usual suspects are here: Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Rihanna and, of course, Robyn. I don’t care what some may say, 2011 was a great year for pop music. I discovered so many great new bands and artists like Alex Clare, Studio Killers, Vanbot and Teeel. This year also ushered in the return of many of iconic industry veterans like Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Erasure, Roxette and Martha Wash.

I had a really difficult time compiling this chart, but it is a very accurate rundown of what, in my opinion, was the best this year had to offer. As with any chart of this nature, this list is completely subjective and just my opinion. I hope you discover something you might have missed over the course of 2011. Let me know if you like what you see or you feel I have overlooked something! Keep an eye out for my top remixes list coming very soon!
