I was actually referring to those who claimed people like Mayor Pete did not represent the gay community cause he did not look or act gay (whatever that means to some). And even Adam took a hit early in his career when some claimed he was not gay enough. And as for Alice and KISS, I did not claim they were gay but they are more characters as Elton was early in his career, imo. They were OTT but nothing to do with sexuality or stereotypes. And yes, I know the history of Elton finally coming out but that was not really my focus or point. People come out when they are ready. Nor did I say anything about anyone trying to look straight when I said evolved. And I certainly did not say anything about Adam's looks cause he moves from one look to another and that if fine. Like many, I like some looks better that others. Some of his Glam Rock looks are more OTT (did not care for the Bowie tribute look). But no one can make others prefer their favorite looks. Nor can they stop Adam from presenting himself the way he wants at any given time and event. And others may disagree but I don't define being gay strictly by what you wear or how you present yourself. But that's just me, ha. I said something complimentary about Adam and his career but I guess it read as some kind of insult. Yikes!

I didn't read your comment as an insult to Adam's career, Lurleene...just didn't really get your comment in correlation to the article. Btw, I can't read the actual article as I'm getting a virus warning from my computer. I'm assuming the article is about postponing his tour, judging by the link description.
I'm really happy about how Adam is diversifying his career, and how he's involved himself with his foundation. Hoping for longevity...which is never guaranteed in this business.

Yep the article had nothing to do with my comments. But the article made me think of Elton and his career and influence. I guess I should have put OT, lol.

On a lazy Saturday afternoon, just sitting around at my computer playing word games and listening to music (alternating Adam and my daughter playing Debussy) and ran across Freddie singing Let Me in Your Heart Again and really would LOVE to hear Adam sing this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWzeNnq1-rA

Yikes, hope that's not a sign of QAL 2022 concerts not happening. I don't even know how many German shows QAL has scheduled for next year. There are 3 QAL shows scheduled in Germany next year (Berlin, Cologne and Munich). And for now, there are many concerts scheduled for 2022. Nobody else I know has rescheduled for 2023. So I don’t think the concerts here are in more danger than in the other countries they are scheduled to play. Is there any country in Europe, that has already opened up or set a guaranteed date for full concerts?

It probably didn't help that I wasn't able to actually read the article lol. I like Elton's music, too...don't keep up with him, so mostly just the popular old stuff of his. Well, I guess all we can do is cross our fingers and toes that QAL will be able to tour next year, and that Adam will be able to do his Vegas show this fall. Unfortunately, events like Lollapalooza right now are trying to make sure that that's not going to happen. I just saw a video of it...I'm assuming it's video of a current event, and not a past one. Yikes.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1xp6P3vMng&list=WL&index=5Totally OT, but I just found this on Youtube...how to sing like Adam Lambert. It's an interesting video if you like to hear about technical aspects of Adam's singing. Basically, what Adam does is remarkable. He has such amazing technique and such remarkable control over his voice and body. All I can say is, good luck dude on trying to sing like Adam.
