Strong possibility we will get BTIKM sales numbers today. The Dec. 26th non-holiday, holiday has made some of the reports late, though. Usually we get singles on Wed. but it is possible it won't happend until tomorrow. From Brian Mansfield, USA TODAY: content.usatoday.com/communities/idolchatter/post/2011/12/christmas-week-does-wonders-for-idol-album-sales/1"FYI, because of the holidays, I don't know how much download information I'll see today. I know a lot of you are anxious to see track-sales data this week, especially with new Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken tracks debuting. If I get those numbers, I'll post them as quickly as I can, but I'm not sure I'll have them."

Sauna is a great experience. After I go the gym (or I might say after I used to go to the gym) I always had a sauna. And now it's common for many people to have a sauna at home too. Don't you use sauna's in the US? No. Probably only once or twice in my life, decades ago. You hardly ever see them. But, I have recently moved to a part of the US (Minnesota) that was settled by Scandinavian immigrants and not as diverse in it's melting pot-ness (because who else would move to this ridiculously cold area!). While house hunting we saw a few houses that had small sauna's in them. We had to ask the realtor what the deal was since it seemed so odd. We've also learned of "swedish pancakes" and almost everyone here is Lutheran. There's even an accent here that sounds a bit Swedish. So interesting to be in a part of the US with such undiluted heritage. I do miss the diversity though. I Finland practically every one-family house has a sauna. I actually know only one withóut. And selling a house without a sauna is like selling a house without kitchen or toilet . And all apartment houses have common saunas and you can reserve a weekly time for your family. Unless of course you have a sauna in your flat. Also most offices have sauna quarters for company entertainment purposes or for employees to have off-time together. So you cannot really escape sauna .

My ex is Finnish on his mom's side. We had a sauna in our home for 25 years. Dad took the children in with him all the time. I was only in it a couple of times. I did/do not like being shut up in a hot closet, plus I got a few minutes of alone time while pop kept the kids busy. Did they go naked or was he Americanized to much? My first time in a sauna in the UP of MI, everyone was naked but me. I wore a swimsuit. We were all college kids then. At home, babies wore diapers. Everyone else wore swimsuits. My ex probably would have gone without clothes except he always had the the little ones with him.

Favorite Album of 2011 - Eavesdropping on the Songs of Whales by the Parlotones.
The Northern California Adam Fan Club (MomToMany, Didilynn, NoAngel, Scorpio, Hoopla, and I) went to their performance in San Francisco and really enjoyed them, they are great live. Hoopla and I saw them again a few days later in Sacramento, a wonderful concert in a tiny venue (50 people?) for $10. I think some others on here have also been to performances.
Just checking on iTunes and this album doesn't seem to be available (I got it as a bundle when I bought the performance ticket) but their album "Live Design" seems to have most of the songs and then some, 18 in total. Some of their songs remind me of a poetry reading in a bookstore ... you really want to listen to the words because each song tells a story.
Here are a couple of our favorites on YouTube:

I cannot contribute to the "Best of 2011" discussion. I don't listen to top 40 or pop. Just Adam. Can't remember the last time I went to a first run movie.... maybe Star Trek in 2009. And books, when I have time to read, are not usually from the best seller list either. However, I can get very lost down the rabbit hole with old interviews of Adam. So, since that seems to be a little side discussion, here is one I come back to time and again. Probably cuz I love what he says about hitting the high notes. It starts at about 7:30.
ETA: Not the same as the one posted previously. But, filmed the same day at the same place.

Haha....I totally agree with that critique of Adam's red carpet EMA look. rihannsu. Well said. If I had my druthers, references to the "dead horses" and the like would be banned. It just seems so dismissive and rude. Not everyone is caught up or have had the opportunity to express their opinion.... anyhoo.....I guess Adam isn't scheduled to appear on my TEE VEE on NYE? Poop.

It all seems to be a day behind.

My thoughts on the next twitter party:
fan asks Adam: So, did you get nekkid in that Finnish family sauna on Christmas?
Adam replies: Hell yea!
