YouTube gives me the best recommendations! I say "Elvis" and my favorite song "his current flame" and there are many videos of young people "shuffle dancing" to this tune. Even clips of Elvis and Ann Margaret dancing from Viva Las Vegas and I swear he is doing the same steps!
This is such a fun way of dancing. Happy to see young people having so much fun.

Much as it saddens me, I have to move forward with selling my Vegas tickets. I have written of this before but I really had no way to safely sell them. I have been able to open a US bank account now so I can sell my tickets through Ticketmaster. I would really like to sell to an Atop member at my cost so am leaving that option open here for the weekend. After that, I will list them on Ticketmaster. You can find ticket particulars on the members only Vegas meetup page. They are for Oct 29 and 30...so will be the Halloween special ones and the 29th is second row. They are both singletons. They will be available for transfer via Ticketmaster or however that works [just pm me] until Monday. After that they go on the open market.
I am really so sad to have to relinquish these....they were to be my BD present to myself originally, but have gone through 3 dates now. My flights won't get me there and there are no other options..[other than go a day early]...and frankly, with no Mask or Vaccine mandate for the show, it makes no sense to take unnecessary chances after 2 years of isolation and deprivation. I am surprised Adam has not done what so many other artists have done and insisted on safety measures....but he hasn't.

mszue. Such a shame about the tickets and Vegas but I agree with you entirely that there is no point in taking any risks after all the time and effort that has gone into keeping safe so far. I am about to sell my tickets to see Roger Taylor on his solo tour in five weeks time. A small theatre just 45 mins drive from my home and second row centre seats… But the theatre is not requiring proof of vaccination and all seats are for sale with no distancing between. Masks are required but it still feels like madness to be cheek by jowl with strangers who may be singing and cheering just inches away and for a couple of hours. As you say…’someday’.

Don't blame you girls for not wanting to take any risks...I wouldn't even dream of going to any concert, safety measures or not. Way too soon for me.
But I am surprised that Adam's shows that don't have vaccination mandates.

Someday!! I'd make the same decision. No way am I spending time indoors close up and personal with a bunch of strangers right now, and likely not for a while. Not that it's even an option here right now. We're back in lockdown  |

mszue I am sorry you can’t go as I know how much you were looking forward to it. I wonder how much safety procedures are in Adam’s hands or up to the theatre. Is that kind of thing written into a contract? I really hope he streams a show for everyone who can’t be there in person!

My husband and I are still planning to go to Vegas. We won't be going out on the Strip, or even taking a Pink Jeep tour out to the desert. May be wearing an ugly mask underneath and a pretty one over.
A local small theater just announced their decision to require masks regardless of vax status effective immediately. On September 10, admission to shows will only be upon proof of vax, or negative covid test by commercial lab. (No home tests, no exceptions for religious/medical reasons). No refunds on tickets already purchased! The theater is using an app (Bindle) which they are paying for as the recipient of the screening, no cost to customers. Supposedly the app will accept the customer's information, and simply transmit to the venue whether you are qualified to attend. No disclosure of the records to the venue's on-site screeners.
Again, in a fit of optimism, I purchased 3 tickets to Queen's Stockholm show next July. We were planning to visit my husband's sister, who moved to Sweden way back in 1979. With the pandemic, we've missed our annual get-togethers for the past two years. Fingers crossed this will happen.
