Well, first of all, because I wrote it for my friends here at ATop, in a style that suits me on this forum. My tone is a bit snarky. If I were to post a response on their site, to them, I would make the same points, but phrase it differently to fit their forum and show them the proper respect for sharing their opinions. And make sure there was no "fan-girl" sounding bits.
Secondly, I do not want to engage in a debate with them. They have their points of view, I have mine. I have seen too many times where a discussion of perspectives or opinions of an artist or their work becomes a battle of wits and one-up-man-ship between the different posters. Don't want to go there.
Thirdly, what would be the point in posting there? I am not going to change their opinions, they are not going to change mine. I have seen some Adam fans (you know who I am talking about) go on their forum and make fools of themselves, to the guys' great amusement. It does not serve Adam well. It does not serve the fandom well. I don't really belong on their forum because I am definitely not their demographic, and I am not really even interested in great rock frontmen. I know very little about what "great" means in their context, and don't like the music enough to take the time to educate myself. Adamtopia is my Adam home, and I am sublimely happy here, thanks to you all. I am appreciated, supported and respected. Here I can grow, learn, and be myself. Here is safe. I like it here.
thanks cassie, I respect your decisions. Though I love Freddie as much as I love Adam, I don't like this comparison made by these two guys (I haven't watched the YT yet, just reading from your comment). Adam is never want to replace Freddie and he has his own special and amazing persona on stage. And I'm proud that he's not trying to be Freddie, instead he shows the world at EMA who the Adam Lambert is. And because he's not trying to sounds alike or imitate Freddie, I think he gains a lot of respect from a lot of Freddie/Queen hardcore fans. I would love someone who have the knowledge as you're to give them different opinion, not to change their mind but to make them think. However like I said I understand and respect your decision. I would wait for two of the mods, Tim and Wanted Dead or Live to give their opinions too.
Btw, In the 100 Greatest Technical Rock singer, some posters were and are trying to move Adam from #1 position, but Tim and Wanted Dead or Live said that their argument is not valid.. so basically Adam stays at #1. ;D
