OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I went out today to look at cars as mine has been acting up. This is a big deal for me as I have never, in my 43 years, picked out my own car. I ended up getting a sweet 2000 SL500 Mercedes! It's totally cool. On the way home, I tuned the amazing sound system to the San Francisco station Alice. Sure enough after 3 songs, they said: Alice adds the new music first - Adam Lambert - Better Than I Know Myself. I turned the radio up, way up. The Bose subwofer is awesome. I cried my eyes out and sang at the top of my lungs. Truly fucking amazing!!! The first time I heard the new song on the radio and it's while I'm driving my new car home. Aww, congrats on the car, and on the first time hearing BTIKM on the radio! It's awesome isn't it? Alice has been doing well by Adam so far.

Speaking of lightness & darkness, I remember a vid of Adam where he's just sitting in a chair answering abunch of questions. I think it must have been before the tour started or maybe it was during the tour when he did those "answer fans' questions" things....I'll never be able to find it because I don't remember any of the details or what he was wearing, BUT I do remember him making a comment about having down days & not wanting people to see that part. I also remember thinking that it was a rather low-key vid - he usually tries to be somewhat animated & smiling, but in this one he looked like he was just matter-of-factly answering the questions because he HAD to. Maybe that was just my imagination though? Does this ring a bell with anyone? Yep, I know what you're talking about, Ginger--rings a bell with me, too--just not loudly enough to remember where to start looking for that interview. The first year (Idol tour), I knew every confessional (besides the voice, those reaaaallly sucked me in) and I swear I had every interview memorized and knew every hair report for every concert. I coulda even told you which concert contained the "It's a lovely cock" quote! The second year, FS, RMT, and then the GN tour (Summer of Love 2010) I still kept up reasonably well. But the joy of seeing him live several times gave me new specific sensory memories that I could relive at will, thankfully, even if I could not remember every detail of every interview anymore. This year, RL crashed, and takes precedence, and even though it SEEMED like a slow year--like I said when I posted the 'Twas poem-- when you actually look back on it, he was busy. But I can't even pretend to keep track of everything anymore! I did have the Ste. Agathe concert in July to tide me over until the next time I get to see him live--what a trip!--and the EMA's was just SO amazing. But we have nearly 3 YEARS peeps--3 YEARS--of glorious singing and wonderfully funny and smart interviews--we haven't missed a minute of Adam's ride since he bitch-slapped Idol and started this wild ride! AREN'T WE LUCKY??? ;D Wow. That was a real tl;dr! All I really wanted to say was I can't recall which interview that was! Are you referring to the donors choose challenge interview he gave to ONTD_AI?

Thank you for the heads-up! I just voted. I did not know the new bass player was married. Is he a musician too? PIA, please reassure me Adam will not leave LA. Sometimes I feel he is accepted and loved by other countries more than his own. BTIKM is charting better already in other countries than his own. It is just me, RIGHT? Lifeguard, please post more and with each post show more avi seoulmate, you are NOT allowed to take time off, LOVE that you are back Mika, I will email soon..... I don't see how Adam could leave LA now that Sauli has determined it is the place he belongs... Why would Adam leave LA? No way! Adam could have lived many places in the past 10 years and pursued his theatre career, including NYC, but he has answered that question. LA is home! I see people at MJ's saying all the time "Adam is more accepted in other countries," yada, yada, yada! It's not true. More than 2/3 of his single and album sales are from the US. The sea is bigger here and he has more competition, that's all. Also, most of the big radio stations in the US have been on vacation for the past 2 weeks. Basically, no PDs, and plays have been on autopilot. I am not worried about this single or this album in the least!

Go to Sophie's and vote. He is now down in the 40% (almost losing). Mr. Wax must have a fan base that is going crazy. Are we looking at the same poll? I see Adam winning 56% to 44% ...

Are you referring to the donors choose challenge interview he gave to ONTD_AI? Hi, lm! It's been a while since I've listened to all of this interview, so comments Ginger was talking about MIGHT be in these, but he was pretty cute and happy here-- I was remembering something short, darker look, sitting at a table--something that made me think "man, this guy works hard on this positivity thing" (which I think he really does, and it inspires me). I've never doubted he has a darker side, but like someone earlier said I don't think it's any darker than any of ours. "I'm not skerd." LOL, bring it on Adam! I'm not into nihilistic, but a little honest angst/anger now and then is only normal for any human being, so I'll appreciate anything Adam wants to share! ETA: YIPPIE, THAT IS A GREAT STORY! Congrats on both the new car and getting to hear BTIKM in it on the drive home! I've only heard it on internet radio so far!

I just voted again on the radiosophie poll, I close out and then click the link PIA provided again, I listen to both song clips and then vote. Currently, Adam is slightly in the lead, he will need our help tonight to win this one I suspect. DO NOT give up, keep trying. ;D (Are you proud of PIA for the pep rally?????????? ;D)

I'm totally with you - I have no idea where to start looking. I'm sure it's out there somewhere but I don't even know that it matters at this point. Back in that first year we were hanging on every syllable he uttered, but you're right - after 3 years of sheer intensity, my memory banks have just overloaded! I only brought it up because that was the first & only time (other than his twitter rants) that I saw a glimpse of what he has to go through & how he has to be "Adam Lambert" when he's really not feeling it. He can't ever have an "off" day. When he does, it makes headlines. So maybe now with this new album he's feeling like he can share some of his realness with us. Lord knows he oughta know by now that we're gonna support him no matter what!
