I have often marvelled at the opportunities that come around for Adam, that may not have if he were not as nice and kind a person as he is. Talent...of course...but ..... would Global Citizen been nearly as fruitful? The spot with Nile was a connection from character. Ditto..if he had said the nasty after the tour drop with Demi...the duet would not likely have happened. He can always rustle up a great band because they all like working with him. It has take years for some of these connections and likes to show benefits....but they do and they are. He has prevailed in a system that set out to wreck him originally...at the same time as they used him as the poster child for their own inclusionary credits. Time and history will treat him well  |

Adam's niceness is legendary. It has opened many doors for him. He's known as someone who is great to work with, creative and cooperative. These are HUGE assets to have. Even Brian May said in an interview that they wouldn't have worked with Adam if he'd been a (I think he said "shit.") But because he's a good person inside and out, he gets more opportunities that someone else may not get. He is loved and respected due to his talent and who he is as a person.

I remember when Adam was a mentor on "Majors & Minors", he talked about the importance of maintaining connections and behaving in a professional manner, and he walks the walk, not just talks the talk. Besides the aforementioned Nile, Demi, Brian May etc., I'd add Rickey Minor. He has spoken glowingly of Adam and his work ethic from the Idol days, and has been involved in too many of Adam's appearances for me to dismiss it as mere coincidence - VH1 Divas, the Greatest Hits show on ABC (whatever it was called - the one where he performed "Faith"), Kennedy Center Honors, and I think I'm forgetting at least one more. As he goes along, he collects more fans within the industry. It should continue to serve him well. |
