WINDOWS!!!!!!!!!!Isn't it funny how a silly little thing like windows can get us so excited? We really take the simple things in life for granted most of the time. Can't imagine going to bamafan's house and not seeing plastic and duct tape on the windows.  justsouthofnowhere I came through there this past week - where ever just south of nowhere is, I'm sure I was there. Wish I'd known about you. There were several Cracker Barrel's along the way and I could have had lunch with you after I had breakfast with babs12 in Louisville!  HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!! Happy concerting to all of us in 2012!!! Hope to meet all of you along the way.

Mayan prophecies, new eras, fantasy v. reality, time for miracles (which DH enjoyed with me while the movie theatre emptied back when) and how I can't wait for all the new goodness Adam is going to bring in the real 2012!!! |

How times have changed! I remember this and my DH was acting out. Now he respectfully asks how Adam is doing, if Sauli is OK and wants to know if there any mags he may buy for me.  ... and it only took you three years to train him... Skylar, thanks for reminding us of that great discussion! Such a fun memory! |

I never read it. It really WAS such an incredible night and believe me, we knew it when we were there. My epic fail (which I've boo-hoo'ed about countless times) is that it was my big FIRST TIME doing video. Even bought a NEW CAMERA and had pretty decent seats. When he was doing WLL, I was shaking. I KNEW it was historic and was willing every cell in my body to not flail like a freaking crazy person. I've gone through periods of my life where I was highly disciplined, but none so as those few minutes. I kept thinking, OMGOMGOMGOMG, this is going to be like nothing we've ever seen. Well .... all that was for nothing, since I screwed up my new camera and it was not recording (I think it was the handy YouTube feature which makes sure you don't go longer than 10 minutes – thanks for that, Panasonic :-/) No worries! Much more experienced glamberts captured the moment and all was fine, but damn, I wished I'd flailed my brains out instead!!! |
