oooooh..... and I just found this old post by cassie!! One of the BEST!! From Sept.13th, 2010 I have performed as a solo pianist, a solo violinist and in an orchestra. Making music takes you to a very powerful place. But, when I sing, there is an intimacy about it that transcends other types of music making. This sound, this expression - it is coming, not from an instrument, a set of strings and wood, but from MY BODY. I create it out of nothing. I mold it and shape it by molding and shaping my body. Then, I give it the emotion and expression that comes from my mind. It is immediate. It is primal. It is my essense.
No, I don't sound anywhere near how Adam sounds. I can't make nearly the beauty that Adam creates with his voice alone. But, knowing how I feel when I sing, I can imagine how Adam feels when he sings. When that SOUND is directed through his body and out into the world. There is no other feeling like it!
Then, to have the audience fall under his spell. For them to receive what he is creating, take it in, and caress it, enjoy it, celebrate it, and give it back in the form of screams, dancing, or entranced silence. Whew!!! Heaven on earth. For us, and for him. It is no wonder the little boy grin escapes at the end of a number he has just nailed. He can't contain the joy.

And, cassie.... in response to your post above, angelkrash wrote:
Cassie, your post is beautiful and so appropriate. It inspired me. When I have children I will tell them the story of the glittery alien from planet fierce:
Once upon a time there was a bright, joy-filled kingdom called The Kingdom of Pop. This kingdom was going through tough times. The king had just died and the queen was looking for someone to take the throne. There were a lot of pop princesses competing among themselves for it and each citizen had his favorite. This went on for years. But then something unexpected happened. Someone else stepped up. A mysterious being full of old magic long forgotten. A game changer covered in rhinestones-The Glittery Alien from Planet Fierce.
Members of the court were frightened by him. They had forgotten that the royal line he came from had once ruled the land. They put different obstacles in his way. Different challenges he had to face. He faced all of them with courage, honesty and charm and by doing so reveled the small mindedness of the ones who ridiculed him. They said he was different. He was different. In his loyalty to his supporters and friends. In his voice that made the angels sing and humans fall in love. In his courage to be himself, which encouraged other to be themselves. In all of these he was different.
Word traveled across the land. More and more citizens began to know him and to love him. His following grew. The queen began to take notice and so did the rest of the kingdom. For he had a light that shone bright, a spirit of freedom that was contagious. Soon he was unstoppable. It was clear to everyone that he is the one that should rule the throne. And he did. He still does for many years now. You may know him as Pop supernova Adam Lambert.

Okay, really, lmaf, this is now my favorite too. Was this in ref to meeting him and then seeing him on stage? Yup. I had a M&G at the first Honolulu concert, and then proceeded to lose my shit (as usual) when I saw him onstage. The dichotomy was really mindblowing. He was just so sweet and lovely and real when I met him, with an aura of calm gentleness. And then later he comes out with his top hat and purple fringe and enough charisma and electricity to blow the roof off the venue. It kinda messed with my head! Every time I read, "Sorry about the fucking swearing. Fuck!" it just cracks me up. Thanx for the the belly laughs. It's just something I would say too. I probably have. I'm also a huge fan of fuckity fuck fuck too. I was gonna work on that this year. Hey, maybe I'll try again in 2012.

And shifting gears, I just re-watched the Scotty Rocker vid. And LOOL again with his body language. NoAngel and I were watching it in Hawaii and we were all Dude looked like he was offering himself up on a platter like Christmas dinner. I half expected him to lean back and put an apple in his mouth. I bookmarked that one. 8-)

Happy New Year from the Eastern time zone. The neighbors are setting off fire crackers which drives my pack of dogs crazy. So, to cover up the sound I have GNT cranked WAAAAAAY up on my Bose sound system. And it is working!!! The one dog that usually trembles under my feet is calmly lying on the couch. In fact, most of them are curled up in doggie beds, chairs and whatever. Understand, I have EIGHT dogs that would normally be going crazy. Music does have powers to sooth the savage beast. And it makes me very happy listening to the joy and beauty of AFL blariang from the speakers. HUGS!!! to you, Cassie!!!! TY for all you do! Glad your pupdogs love Adams music. And, so happy you have them!!! My 5 kitties don't even notice the fireworks....oops, cept 1, Sasha, my old girl. She just slips under the bed with fireworks or thunder. My Foster dog didn't notice the fireworks either. This is my 1st NY's without him. I celebrate his very special life, and miss him forever. He was a very special boy. And, will always be with me in my heart. 3 days ago, I saw a most beautiful rainbow. This is Nebraska, people??? A rainbow in December, in Nebraska is very unusual...to say the least. And, this was a full out rainbow...I could see both ends....and it was gone in minutes. In pet peoples *speak*, it is a sign that they made it to the Rainbow Bridge, and are fine and watching over you. I was driving my car and about lost it. It was a full, end to end rainbow, and it was gone in a short time. It was Foster saying that he was OK, and wishing me well!! It also says that they will be waiting there for you, and then, when you cross over, they will be there and go over the bridge with you to *where ever* we will go together. It gave me peace. It gave me hope. It made me miss him a tiny, little bit less. Sorry if this brings anyone down tonight! I'm celebrating my sweet Foster tonight!!! He was amazing, and he was a special part of my life!! Although I miss him dearly, I know he will always have a place in my heart. He knows that too.
