Moved from main thread: Numbers question, taking a close look at adaminradioland.wordpress.com/ and I got excited that one of my stations in Portland had spun 6 times last week until I noticed that they were all overnight spins with an audience impression of "0" :  Is spinning overnight a typical way that stations start to add/try out a song? I'm seeing a lot of overnight spins as the first wave of plays. On the other hand, that exactly matches my requests from last week so maybe they are listening? lol |

rabbitrabbit - yes, some stations start out with overnight spins as a way to add/try out a song. Fingers crossed that the Portland station moves it into heavy rotation soon!

It is best to not compare Adam to Kelly. Kelly has 10 years, 5 albums and 6+ #1 songs behind her (and she's a girl). Adam hasn't yet proved himself to radio. He is not going to race up the charts like she did. He will have to work for it like all the other relatively new artists out there. Remember, it took Gaga a couple albums before she took off. I know all this stardust. I've known it for a long time. And I keep repeating it to myself. Starting to believe it. HaHa durberville! I KNOW I'm not alone. Others may not say much because they don't want to be accused of being negative. But the truth is I am NOT really feeling negative right now. Imma give it another week. Maybe I should stay off twitter. Couple of fans now saying BTIKM is going nowhere & they should pick another single quick. Now THAT's angsting. That's not me. |

Some stations do that to give spins to a song they don't like, so they can say they played it. Only time will tell. |

Many of the people who are angsting have some unrealistic expectations about how fast he is going to race up the charts. When the gurus ( like saga) start to angst, then I will worry. ETA: Haha!
