If stations are telling people they don't have the song yet, they are lying. And it's a common line stations will use with fans. They all have the song. They could play it, it's simply that some PDs aren't ready to yet. So...I'm thinking BTIKM will have a much better adds week next week

I'll take +17 spins at this point, especially with it being HAC and limited stations spinning.
I have a question. HAC has a lot of promo stuff/concerts/special events (and, I guess CHR does, too, but I am familiar with The Mix in Chicago which is always doing something). Chicago's Mix is now gearing up for their annual Mexico trip. Jason Mraz is there this year, and as a result, The Mix is spinning his new song a lot. Which is a big deal because this station is a notoriously slow adder. They did the same thing for KA's LLWD early on when he signed on to do some Concert in the Vineyard thing. Anyway, why aren't they getting Adam involved with stuff like this?I know it may not fit his "brand," but it gets radio on board and spinning quick. Or maybe these stations just aren't interested in the first place? I have always thought that Adam sells himself SO well, if the label could just get him in the station face-to-face PDs (who might think he is "weird" or not cool enough or just don't take him seriously) would be charmed.
OT, but can anyone explain the appeal of the new Mraz single? Cause I just don't get it.

Where do such figures as +3 Position, +17 Spins, +10 Bullet, +0,106 AI come from? I thought they should be somehow calculated from this - 45 38 ADAM LAMBERT Better Than I Know M... 223 164 59 0.897 but simple computation proved me wrong. So, there must be some other source for this data. What is it? ETA: Never mind, I figured it out.

OT, but can anyone explain the appeal of the new Mraz single? Cause I just don't get it. Mega hits from a previous era create instant early adds and lots of radio and listener excitement when artists start their new era. Radio and listeners are excited to have new music from Mraz. His song "I'm Yours" sold over 6M and holds the record for the longest time spent on the BB100 at 76 weeks. Radio is easier for those artists who have exploded there with mega hits in the past. I also wish RCA would schedule Adam at more radio events! I don't believe in the whole "brand" argument. EVERYONE does these types of summer shows, Jingle Bell Balls, etc. No artist is "too good" for these types of events. Katy Perry, Gaga, Rihanna, Maroon 5, etc.- they all do them!

Thanks for the reply Tigerlily. Taking part in one of these radio events just seems like about the easiest way to get your song added and played. And, at least in the Mix's case, the station is enormously loyal to the artists who do these things for them.
