Hi! I've been lurking here for months. I'll tell you some day how I found Adam, but now I just wanted to pop in. I'm kinda "mother hen" when it's about Sauli and I just wanted to say to "cheriemelissa" that I'm not sure if it is the same suit Sauli ALWAYS wears. I think I've seen some olive one (this looks grey to me) and some black and blue jackets (I don't know if they are whole suits). Sauli is not rich as Adam and can't buy new suits for every occasion. But I think this suit fits like glove to him, as does Adam's to him too. They both look gorgeous IMO. Sorry, didn't want to bring any negativity here, but the question sounded a little allusive. Adamtopia has so lovely people and I have laughed so much when I've read these threads. I don't know yet how to put smileys or pics or links here, but I must start studying.  |

So I am curious. Do other states and countries have New Year's day food traditions or any kind for that matter? Today I will make greens for money, black-eyed peas for luck, and ham to project it all forward to the new year (this is because pigs I am told, unlike fowl, root forward ... whatever that means: I grew up in the city  ). I will probably also make cabbage for additional money help, especially important because Adam will be touring this year. ;D I went from sauerkraut and pork being mandatory on NYDay in Pittsburgh to collard greens, black-eyed peas, ham, and cornbread being meal du jour in South Carolina. Florida has no traditions, too transient, too busy. I'm just whining because it was 70s and sunny yesterday in Myrtle Beach while it was dreary, (later in day) drizzly, and cold in Pittsburgh.... and I miss that cornbread. Thanks savvy, I wish you could be back in Myrtle Beach as well. Whiny is ok, it will just blend in with the drizzle and no one will notice. |

I thought things were changing between S & A when S blogged that it felt good to be back in Cal and he felt that he belonged there. I was hoping that they would be able to work out the international long-distance different cultures native tongue difference thing. It will be interesting to see how they work out the tour thing.
When I first saw the picture from the NYE outing, I thought it was at a funeral home. Then someone pointed out the logo so, I guess not!
Happy New Year Everyone! I was so ridiculously happy to see that Happy New Year Adam trended last night. Three years of berting and no end in sight -- happily!
