Comment by Maureen underneath the review, giving the reviewer a D and the song an A... Maureen Holley: The reviewer kind of phoned this review in. Missed the great syncopation on the beat. Missed the lovely piano coming in counter to the melody line. Missed the sensitive interpretation of the lyrical content. Right about the falsetto, but forgot to mention the rich vocal tones in the lower notes. Oh, and not auto-tuned. This song is sung by a really good singer. I'd give the song an A and the reviewer a D. Would have liked a 4 star at least, but honestly the comments section on these reviews make me die a little. Often I can recognize the same 5-7 glamberts...we really do him no favor by writing these comments. It really must be a joke amongst reviewers....*sigh* Ok, I think I'm going to have to stick up for "Maureen" here. If you are going to complain about OTT comments there are plenty of others there now to complain about including the infamous "bull in a china shop" Rose, but Maureen only points out that the reviewer didn't look deep enough. She doesn't call the reviewer names or insult their credentials just questions the effort they put into the review and then proceeds to point out specific things she feels the reviewer missed. This is NOT the comment that I would choose to bitch about. Others here have pointed out that they felt the reviewer approached this from the "too cool for school" position with an apparent disdain for pop music. I don't see anything OTT about this comment at all. I can't speak for the others but I would saying trying to "educate" a reviewer is a lost effort especially if that's how they review most everything and at the other spectrum it's just a thorn which makes you a little wary of picking up the rose again. Pointing out the things she likes in the song is one thing but easy enough to say that without saying anything about the reviewer.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! I've spent the day cleaning/reorganizing our computer/junk/tool room and just got back online a little while ago. Not exactly "fun" but it is really nice to have everything straightened out and be able to comfortably use my computer! My husband took us out to breakfast this morning & there were presents (my mother gave me peace earings that are going to look wonderful with the pendant lizziegs so kindly gifted me!) so there was some fun before the work started. January 2nd is such a weird day for a birthday. It always feels strange with the post-holiday letdown mixed with "yay its my birhtday!" Our xmas tree and other decorations are still up - I refuse to take any of it down on my birthday and it is way too big of a job for my husband to do it all by himself. We are totally non-religious, but we take xmas to an extreme and pretty much every possible surface in our home is decorated! I have 2 trees (we cut them down ourselves every year the day after thanksgiving), my son has a small (fake) tree of his own and my husband has a small tree he puts up at work and then brings home and adds to the decorations here once the work holiday starts. There are santas, angels and snow villages also! We are clearly insane To top it off, my husband loves his outside decorations and people actually come drive by our house just to see it all. He has started adding a controller to it this year so some of the lights dance to music (broadcast over a "home" FM station!) I'm threatening to set it up with an AFL song for next year :D

Shit. I've been haunted by the Black Swan for the last couple of days after watching it but Seoulmate that pic you just posted took the lead. I'll see that in my nightmares tonight. No offense intended.

Hi, Bentley! Welcome to Adamtopia! I'm sure you know the drill; how did you find Adam & us? Please share. I was just trying to slip in quietly and take a seat in the back row:). I found Adam on Idol and spent tons of time at MJ's and a bunch of other blogs and fan sites. I have been following Adamtopia from the beginning after learning about it on Adam's fan club site. After following way too many Adam focused blogs and sites I have whittled it down to my favorite few. I decided I needed to get my feet wet so I can join all of the fun that we are sure to have in the weeks ahead.
