Yesterday I posted something about my discomfort with the degree of Adam stalking done by some fans. (no, not directed at anyone in particular on this forum or off). Serendipitously, Xena just wrote something about the topic also. I agree with much of what she wrote. If you are interested, it is called "An Age of Entitlement". You can read it here: onthemeaningofadamlambert.wordpress.com/2011/03/02/an-age-of-entitlement/

I guess many fans want the excitement they think stars have and they try to live vicariously. I know I have to stop myself from going all over the web to look for tidbits about Adam.Hmm maybe my life lacks color.

I know that you can connect the turntable to a line-in from your pc and with a certain programm you can write the record on your pc.Its not something anyone can do but i certainly know it can be done.

You can read it here: onthemeaningofadamlambert.wordpress.com/2011/03/02/an-age-of-entitlement/JMO --- interesting article but somewhat wrong headed: 1. I disagree with equating following a celebrity -- even closely -- to bullying. Ever cyber stalking is a very different thing. There is even a lot of difference between being an avid fan and an obsessed cyber stalker -- and a lot of the difference is in attitude and the sense of entitlement. 2. Fans have been following celebrities like this since at least the silent film era. What is different is the speed at which information can be shared and the number of people who can be informed about something quickly. 3. My rule is to take a clue from Adam. When he went to Bora Bora, he clearly wanted to keep it quiet. Not only was that information not posted here -- but it was not posted on most Adam fansites and forums -- until after he left Bora Bora. On the other hand, this past Sunday Adam tweeted a photo from the airport. He posed for pictures with fans at the airport. He told at least 2 separate people that he was in Denver to work on his album. He went to Whole Food in his "rock look". Last night he tweeted about what he was doing and about Idol. It looked to me like he was working from the moment he got to LAX. I post all of these adventures here because Adam was an active participant in it. To me, this illustrates that even the most ardent Adam fans have boundaries. 4. I have been in public places 3 times when Adam was there. (I was there first all 3 times and had no idea he would show up.) I observed fans being extremely respectful of him, his friends and his privacy. And outside of one famous incident to a fan deciding she was his friend and the cray-cray fan stalker during Idol, I think Adam fans have been very respectful of him. My conclusion is ....there need to be boundaries but they are hard to define. Fans are very passionate about Adam, and they are interested in everything he does, says, wears, and what he thinks. As long as they remain respectful, are "not hiding behind the drapes" hoping to get a photo of him, and are careful to play by Adam's rules, I do not think it is over the line.
