Is there somewhere here a thread for Adam #2? We had that on the other site. Would love to have it here too!! I think it's starting to happen now ..... the ADAM #2 There's a section called "The Adam 2 Era." It's right above Members Only. Maybe that is what you are looking for??

Aw, he looks great in that airport photo. I wish those fan-photos...didn't have fans in them 8-) When he's taking a picture with a fan we know for certain it's not a pap picture. Considering Adam's request to see fans faces on twitter I'm assuming that carries over to his in person wishes too. He'd rather have his picture taken with the fan than having the fan objectify him by taking a picture just of him. The fan hugs for me are a standin for the dinner he can't have with each of us. As I watch Steven Tyler on Idol and see how comfortable he is hugging all and sundry or how he's observing the performances more for the person who inhabits the performance as opposed to the outworldy performance itself I see these two as sympaticos. |

tatum--I'd like to see a couple of rock songs on the album, too. He's sooo good at it! He did 4 rock songs, on FYE, that I can think of right off the top of my head. I am not expecting any on #2. He said he wants it to be cohesive so I am expecting everthing to be leaning strongly to Pop. However, when he perofrms LIVE, he can't help but infuse everything with Rock. It just happens. |

3. My rule is to take a clue from Adam. When he went to Bora Bora, he clearly wanted to keep it quiet. Not only was that information not posted here -- but it was not posted on most Adam fansites and forums -- until after he left Bora Bora. As long as they remain respectful, are "not hiding behind the drapes" hoping to get a photo of him, and are careful to play by Adam's rules, I do not think it is over the line. ******************* I love this analysis because it says what I feel about most of the people on ATOP. If we had to choose between speaking to Adam in some random location and protecting him from being discovered by the paps, I really have little doubt most of us would forgo our heart's desire to keep him anonymous - I really do. Of course, I can't help but fantasize about the conspiratorial wink he might give when he realizes we are being so selfless. I agree with this too and with Q3's post. I have known and hung out with a few celebrities before and there are a few places they do not like to be approached; primary among them: when they are out to dinner with friends. (If they give one autograph, they have to give several and it totally disrupts their dinner and it is rude to the people they are with.) Airports, where people are largely sitting/standing around idle it is somewhat expected. (This doesn't count racing through and airport when you're late for a flight, but legend has it that Johnny Depp will alway stop.) I don't think it's at all surprising or rude for a fan to ask Adam for a hug at the airport. Why not, if it's done respectfully? He can always say no, but he's a sweet, huggy guy. When we were at our M&G, everyone was like, "No handshake ... go in for the hug!" If you get shuttled off to soon, you'll miss your chance and it may be gone forever. :-/ I've personally never cared on iota about autographs (Adam's is the only one I've ever asked for or cherished – other than when I was very little). I really don't care about pics (LOVE the magnet Shufly made me of my M&G, but have actually only gone to ALF to view the pic once). I would love the opportunity to chat with him at the airport if we were all just standing around staring at the baggage claim conveyor belt. And if opportunity for another hug came up, hellz yeah, I'd go for it. |
