eta: imo Adam looked much better than during his LV shows, which made me especially happy oh dear...my brain....what are the LV shows? Live Velvet? I think she means the Las Vegas shows. ETA: Oops, sorry, too late. |

Let's just say it. Adam has worked hard to lose a tremendous amount of weight. He no longer is trying to hide himself in my Nana's muumuus, very loose and long shirts, and loose pants. He obviously was not happy, and he mentioned not fitting into the designer clothes he loved so much. He looks fantastic, and he's getting himself ready to join Queen again in a few months. Those Queen gigs are very physically demanding. Well... the only problem here ist that this was filmed in May last year. The Las Vegas show happened much later. But I think Adam is nevertheless on a good way to get fit for the QAL shows.  |

Yep, the timing is a bit off for the "weight loss" thing, but I agree. His more recent photos and interviews show that he has lost a lot of weight since LV and since Starstruck was taped. His face is thinner and he just looks great. Look out, QAL attendees! You are in for the show of a lifetime!
Love all the comments from viewers of the show, too. Adam is getting lotsa love!

thanks to the person that posted that QAL 2012 video earlier...just got a chance to watch it. I so remember sitting in front of my computer and watching it live. My heart was pounding for Adam, sooooo many people, how would he perform, would he remember all the words lol? It was so thrilling. I can't believe it's been 10 years already.
And on a very shallow note, love that look so much...pre beard. Loved me a clean shaven Adam.

This encore from London also shows, how far Adam has come since then. Just watch the version from 2012 and then 2020 in comparison. Wow! I really liked a lot of those earlier shows, Nightowl. My favorite will always be those torn pants lol. Adam just seemed a bit freer? in his performances. Maybe because it was all still so new to him. Now the shows seem much more choreographed as far as movements, and jokes, etc.
I love going down those rabbit holes, and after 13 years, boy do we have a lot of rabbit holes.

Starstruck was taped earlier. And it seemed the K. Clarkson show and Vegas were done later when he was not looking his best. But the Starstruck live promotions events were done more recently. He looked good and on his way back and he indicted he was still working on it. Speaking of Kelly, I was watching a little ditty last night and they were being mean to celebs they said had let themselves go. Most were because they had gained a lot of weight. Kelly was included but they used a lot of pictures of when she was at her heaviest. Only a few were current. A lot of the people they covered were no longer stars but Kelly was one of the exceptions. And they kept making the point that she said she did not care. But she did care because she lost a lot of that weight before gaining some of it back. Being a celebrity is brutal. Like it or not, you have to keep up your appearance and sometimes it requires a little extra work. |

Apparently, Kelly was much heavier before she was ever on Idol and she lost weight in preparation for being on the show. Adam was heavier as a teen, but lost weight in his twenties. Neither of them are naturally thin. But they both look great. I like Kelly. And or course, I adore Adam. I predict that he will be vigilant about his fitness in the future. It's just the healthy thing to do. By QAL time, he'll be in perfect shape. Getting there already. He makes me swoon no matter what.
