at this point u should be spreading the word about @adamlambert's NEW single #BETTERTHANIKNOWMYSELF -buyin it, requesting @ radio n so on... It's a mystery to me too and IDK if we will ever know their line of thinking with this. I am wondering if they decided to try something new using social media and his fanbase to generate buzz so that when adds date rolls around that--combined with HOPEFULLY all the behind the scenes work they did to woo the radio stations--results in a lot of adds and THEN there will be a massive promo blitz? IDK IDK. Not even sure that makes sense or would even work.....I'm just trying to make sense out of this. Not for ONE MINUTE do I subscribe to the poor Adam meme and that RCA is gonna screw him over. They sunk a lot of money into this project, so to dump him out cold makes no sense. Nah, I believe major promo is coming but trying to figure out their strategy is mind boggling. I am just gonna have to hope that there is a master plan behind the weird release dec 20th (and no I don't subscribe to the "it was a gift for his fans" meme) and the far out add date. IDK. Back to waiting! |

I have a great idea. I'll turn off the computer and have a few "ahem" glasses of wine. When I come back, all my bookmarks will be in their proper places 'cause I'll be hallucinating. At least I'll go to bed happy. Reminded me of Mark Hamil's Joker laughs. |

In IE, click on the star in the upper right corner I don't have a star.  I have a star on the left hand side for Favorites, but Bookmarks is not there. I'm scorned! (I have Windows 7) OK wait a minute.... I haven't used IE for awhile, but isn't Favorites = Bookmarks? Same thing, right?  |

Me too!  I don't have IE. Don't know what it looks like. I'll try to google some info. I'm kind of scrolling past the tech stuff 'cause I'm no techie, but did you do the Control (button) I (letter) to bring up your side bar. Bookmarks is usually a menu there with an arrow to expand or contract? U R prob way beyond that but thought I'd mention it.  |

You guys, I think "promo" means "money" and from what others are describing about adds, etc., it's starting to flow. I found this article back in September. It has an indie slant, but is VERY enlightening as to how songs (really) get on the radio: How to Get Your Song on the Radio: blog.tunecore.com/2011/09/how-to-get-your-song-on-commercial-radio.htmlQuote: Getting a song “added” to a station’s playlist to get a certain number of plays per week involves a rather byzantine process that brings in various parties, called independent promoters (“indies”). Last post, I promise. I got the bookmarks bar to appear and added my new bookmark to it and it shows up. However, it does not show up on my fucking list. I'm almost afraid to ask, but how would I get the bookmarks from my list to show up on the bar? You can left click on items on your list and then drag them to the grey bar. |
