gingerpf....well you just ranted for me. I hear ya.
I DO NOT GET IT. Why not release the song when you've got the promo lined up to support it? Radio seems to be on board and once it starts spinning the hell out of the song, the sales will go up - but why did we have to go through this "flapping around in the breeze" period.
Meh.
I'm in a funk.

How can I tell if 107.7 radio played BTIKM yet here in St. Louis besides having to listen to that station? :-/ What are the call letters? Call letters? :-[ I don't know for sure what they are but I was talking about Z107.7 here in St. Louis. Are those the call letters? :-[ :-[ |

Duh!!! Okay I get it. Didn't know it could go that high. ha Nobody is going to jump on this????? No?.....Forgive me if I offend but I am all about knowing--and a good laugh: How about this: Doesn't need to go high if you go low. ETA and when I say I am all about knowing, what I meant to imply is that I am all about educating people, not necessarily meaning that I "know" in a biblically sense!  I never had a problem getting any on me or in me so I couldn't quite understand the beginning of this eye problem post. Now I get it. The go high sentence was a joke and so was the duh. I understand the go low now and laughed haha. I guess the more you know, the more you can relate. Now I understand the S*&@^#r post. Poor Sauli and his sty. I don't think he knows what Knitwhits we are or he wouldn't have told us about his sty. You guys kill me. |

I will never understand why Brian Mansfield at USA Today is such a passive aggressive asshole when it comes to Adam He gave the single numbers THIS week (but not last week even though I'm sure they were available to him) and had this to say about Adam: All the Idol tracks in SoundScan's list of the 200 top sellers saw double-digit percentage increases in their weekly sales. One track absent from the top 200: Adam Lambert's Better Than I Know Myself, in its second week of release.I really despise him. I don't see a problem with what Brian said. It is the 2nd week of release. It is not in the Top 200. Sure it brings the haters out and they start calling the song a flop, but I have no doubt we will have the last laugh. If this song isn't huge, I will eat my hat!! |

I remember when I shuffled Adam's first album around so that it would be conspicuous at FYE music store. I noticed that in the front of the store there were new videos displayed with numbers on them.. Like #1 etc. So I asked how a Cd got a number one or two,etc. The sales help said the promotors paid a sum to have the CDs numbered so they appeared to be # 1 seller ,etc. I was floored to think that was a paid for promo gimmick . I still think our requesting Adam's songs is helpful,no matter what..It does show the power of his fans. Thanks for all the interesting stuff, Q3! Yeah, melliemom, this is all such an education! I am a writer ... a few years ago when I was getting into it I found out that all the space at the front of bookstores where books are displayed is also pay for play. I felt so dumb! I thought before that the bookstore was just recommending the best books! At that time, Borders and Barnes & Noble also had veto power over cover art. Not sure how it works now. |

Are those the call letters? :-[ :-[ The actual letters that identify the station. Our local HAC station is KBIG. Z100 is ( I think) WPJL, or something like that. Every station has unique call letters, and that is how you look them up. |
