And she’s been doing co-writing sessions with labelmate Adam Lambert for his upcoming album, a process she’s tried previously with other artists without much success. This time, however, might be a different story. “I really dug this collaboration because I feel Adam and I are really similar in a lot of ways. So we really got along and became a little friendly off of it. I have no clue if any of the songs will make his record, but there’s one in particular that we both love.” |

The former Idol spoke to MTV on the American Idol finale red carpet last night ( looking as glam as he usually does) and gave details on the new set of tunes which he says makes up his “dream album”. “I’m writing most of the material with people myself this time,” he says, adding that he’s written 18 to 20 songs already. “I’m really involved. It’s really exciting because I think I’m making my dream album. I know that sounds a bit clichéd, but I’m making exactly what I want to listen to.” He mentions a few of his collaborators, including Sia, Ryan Tedder and Nikka Costa. We’ve already heard the magic that Ryan and Adam can conjure in the studio (FYE’s dreamy synth-ballad “Sleepwalker”), but we’re even more excited to hear what Lambert and his personal idol can create together.

Brought over from Russian concert thread: Willing to bet the Skeleton Key is album related. Adam is being coy when he said he just thought it was a cool image. ITA, he usually is going through some thought process before deciding which tattoo to have. Eye of Horus for extra protection in the beginning of AI top 13, Infinity before GNT, and now the Skeleton Key, before the sophomore album release. Therefore the Unlocked is the PERFECT title for his next album (before we hear what it actually will be....). Totally agree with both of you. Didn't believe him one bit when he said he chose the skeleton key just b/c he liked it and thought it fit in well with the other two. Yeah right, Adam! You can't fool us; we know there's more to the story than that; just can't wait to find out what it is! and these pics!! Great Googly! I'm dead after every one of them! I could get used to this look very quickly. Wonder if this look is a preview of "Soundcheck Tour 2012." LOL What a fabulous day in Adamland - and we haven't even seen vids yet. Gah! |
