Yes, Adam has done very well. Very nice words about Adam from Randy. I think Idol needed and wanted Adam to win. He would have changed the look of the franchise. All the buzz and excitement was about him. It was a letdown for many fans and the media. But the voters, over the years, decided they only wanted the humble guy next door to win and that went on for years. It made Idol stale and predictable with many unforgettable winners. That is why most of the highly successful winners and non-winners came from the earlier years and are still going strong in the entertainment industry today. I just saw the Idol promo again the past few nights, and as Ryan said, the Idol superstars (Kelly, Gabby, Adam and Carrie). They are still the face of high profile Idols along with Jennifer and newbie Gabby. I know Jennifer was also in that promo but they have been cutting her out. Maybe the ad was too long but I'm thankful Adam is right in there. ABC Idol has changed the final race to 3 instead of a 2 man/woman race. That is a good change because it makes it harder to vote in a regional block or against someone based on something other than talent. If it had been that way all along, it may have produced some different and more diverse winners. |

I agree, Lurleen. Idol has been on for quite some time now. The formula has gotten stale, IMO. I'm glad that Adam was on when it was still THE show to watch. I don't know what the ratings for Idol are like right now. Maybe it's doing very well. I don't watch it. I think the change in the final race going from two to three is a good idea, I guess. Somehow, Idol and The Voice just keep chugging along. I'm so glad I found my superstar on Season 8. Changed my life.

American Idol contest….voting for “best ever”. Adam won his bracket in the first round….He is now up against Kelly Pickler …Adam 61 %. Pickler 39%….. Fans of country music can sure dominate contests. The American Song contest that is presently on TV, with Kelly Clarkson/Snoop Dog as hosts has leaned towards some pretty average country type bands, the last two nights. I am more pop/rock ….so that sways my view 😁. link for voting ….if interested. I was on a holiday and my brother and family had to tune in to watch the Rueben and Clay conclusion. I dabbled with watching in a few seasons ….but never a full watch! I could not stand the early episodes which gave so much air time to poor or crazy performers. I returned from a holiday….tuned in the nights they were dropping to 13. Adam stunned me with his version of Satisfaction. I also thought he was darn cute! From that moment, I was glued to the tube. Nerves on edge for every episode. And, i am still here, as a fan….checking into Adamtopia so many times a day it is crazy! 🤣👌 I PVR the show but delete episodes or skim. This season is no different …fast forwarded through the top 24 ….no one person is jumping out at me. |

And girldrummer, I agree about Adam. There has been no other contestant who came close to the talent and excitement, imo. It was so funny when the season came after his season, the press was complaining that there was no Adam Lambert, lol. No sh**! They did not care about the winner but were crying over Adam.

SO proud of our new Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Jackson! This is a major step forward for our government and our society. Too many of our elected officials want to push us back to the Dark Ages.
