Pretty excited once again, for QAL TO OPEN a prestigious event…viewed by many! (Oscars and Jubilee) I am so hopeful the explanation of the opening might be a mini compilation of a few Queen songs. Most likely including God Save The Queen being one, which means new words for Adam to learn. Those are the kind of moments when I get realllllly nervous for him. Hahaha The Queen song doesn’t have any lyrics, it’s actually just the melody of the national anthem. So nothing to learn here. I have to giggle at the idea of Adam as an American singing the British National Anthem. I doubt that he wants that and I can’t see the Queen and her stuff wanting that - the British anthem sung in an American accent? About how the Queen shall destroy her enemies? LOL Also, I might be wrong, but I don’t remember any example, when God Save The Queen was sung by a single singer. It’s always the melody and the whole audience - meaning all Brits in attendance- are singing it. No front singer. Only the Queen never sings along.

I was guessing that maybe they would start with God Save the Queen, as it is her jubilee celebration, and then add in parts of a few more Queen songs. God Save the Queen is the anthem, at events/sporting competitions etc. In the US or Canada at events, a person usually sings an anthem, and the audience can join in or not. Guess where I am not certain….is that my country as a member of the Commonwealth we have a Royal Anthem God Save the Queen, and a National Anthem O Canada. I googled and the UK only the one anthem. Might be nice for some band to do the anthem then Queen could blast out their own songs…haha.
