Show not on our TV until tonight. Still watched video and loved it. Memories of Kiev.

The bone deep confidence to own that stage knowing that every article will compare him too Freddie.
The 'standing in for' still makes me roll my eyes. Like one day Freddie will come back as front man.

My husband walked into the bedroom and the TV was on a later repeat of the Queen’s celebration party and QAL was into Don’t Stop Me Now. He pivoted from going into the bathroom, and watched the rest of their set. Then I played my recorded version of the whole QAL set. He stood and watched…throwing out so many positive comments including..he agreed with me how clearly you can hear what he is singing. I said…unlike a few others that performed. I left the tv on and left the room. Guess he continued to watch as he called out to me that Duran Duran were on. I said yes I breezed through it on PVR. He said…I can’t understand a thing they are singing. Hahahaha … (yah…I know….one of zillion reasons I fan the guy!) Any chance you might make him a convert? lol |

Any chance you might make him a convert? lol He has grown in his appreciation….just more music is “my” thing …not his! He does not really listen to music except on the car radio. I could not get him to any concerts, even with him knowing what a fan I am. Initially he was not crazy about me travelling all around by myself to see Adam in concert. Now he is more relaxed about me going along with others or by myself to concerts❗️ He is supportive, and has been happy enough to ask his connections at Ticketmaster to get me and another Atoper great seats for Alberta concerts. He is supportive of me treating other family to go, yet he passes. He has gone to concerts we have been treated to….but those were because groups of “his” friends were going. He truly does believe Adam is an amazing singer and performer and feels he has deservedly earned world wide recognition. He has humoured me and watched something I have PVR’ed or have on a screen, and truly liked it. Guess music is just not HIS THING. I do think the documentary the Show Must Go On was a large turn around for him. It opened his view as to Adam as a “person”. HONESTLY before Adam, I liked music, loved dancing etc, but never paid attention to it much. ( unlike say …a brother who bought albums and played them all the time). Adam changed me. Suddenly I knew all the songs, and read about the artists etc. This was a new side of me …foreign to my husband. 😆LOL In recent years with: -a new era of so many new artists being played, and so much rap on the air -Canadian artists having to have air time mixed into other world singers, -Adam not getting air time here on our stations anymore… Well…I do not have as much interest in knowing “everything” and so my focus is on Adam. |

A gig for the ages! I truly enjoyed last night's performance of Queen + Adam Lambert. What a grand opening, and they did an amazing job!
