Oh, our local yellow press newspaper with a good review? Wow. 😁 The show was fabulous and I enjoyed every minute! My only question is still: Why was the concert seated? Even the writer of that review wondered... It was the first time that there wasn’t general admission on the floor for a QAL concert in Germany. All the years before it was standing on the floor. I still remember the shock, when the tickets went on sale. We had been ready in front of our computers, prepared to buy General Admission tickets - and BAM! The floor was seated with skyhigh ticket prises! It had been a shock and my friends and I had to find out immediately, how much we were ready to pay and to which concerts we will go under these completely new circumstances. I mean, the seats in the front of the floor cost 369-469€ instead of the usual 100€ for GA. It was a shock. However, that had been 2 years and 9 months in the past, so (almost) forgotten. Until last night. When the Intro of Innuendo started. My friend and I had seats in the middle of the first row in front of the B-stage. Since the stage is pretty high and there had been photographers in front of us, we stood up. It’s a rock concert after all and we have NEVER sat on the floor. Immediately about 10 people in the rows behind us complained and shouted, that we must sit down. Because they can’t see. Well, we couldn’t see either... But since they were many, we did sit down. I was fuming, because I could only see maybe half of that Intro with all people and stage blocking my view. Mainly the B-Stage. My friend slowly counted to 10. That was at the time, when Brian played the first cords of Now I‘m Here. And we decided, we’re not here to sit. So we got up again and thankfully most people to my right side did as well...the people to our left all stayed seated. The people behind us - well, they had no choice and slowly more and more got up. I mean, they must have realized, that you can’t see the main stage, while you’re sitting? After all that’s were the magic mainly happens in the beginning. In the end, most of the people on the floor did stand and dance and sing for the whole concert. We had a brilliant night! Only that short period in the beginning wasn’t as nice. And like the writer from our newspaper, I have no idea, who had the bad idea, to have a rock concert all seated. I was able to take some pictures and this turned out as my favorite one. I‘ve seen it posted by someone else here before, but I just love it! And most of my pictures didn’t turn out that well, because of the blending lights. Thank you for the recap! I had similar seats at the MSG for this tour but everyone jumped on their feet as soon as the music started, so it was actually good as you had your own space …it’s a magical experience being so close… I was so very glad the floors were all seated in the U.S.!!! It allowed me to have a couple of concerts were I was close to stage. At my age, I just cannot stand for hours on the floor, much less in line before the concert even starts. Or deal with all the shoving & pushing that goes on. (I had a bad experience with this at several Adam solo concerts.) And yes, everyone on the floor stood during most of the concert, with some of us less hearty folks sitting during the guitar solo. Also, even considering the exchange rate, prices for floor seats closest to the stage & b-stage were higher in the U.S. than at this concert in Berlin. I paid $742 for 1st row in front of the b-stage in Nashville. And it was higher in some cities and even higher first couple of rows in front of the main stage.

My last concert for QAL in the states had 18k there and there was a standing area in front of the stage. But I would never want those more expensive seats as I can't stand to be boxed or crowded in. Even in college I stayed away from GA as I would not enjoy that. But I had the first row of the seated seats $450 as you moved up in the arena. I could see very well and stood when I wanted and sat between some songs. And the lines moved so fast that there was no standing for a long time to get in. There are going to be different experiences in different places. Last week someone said there were a lot of gay men and drag queens at their show. My guess is there were many gay men at my concert as well but they were more likely to just blend in with everyone else. Men in heavy OTT makeup or dressed in drag would not be common. Even in my area of the South, we have some who express themselves that way but mostly in some local LGBT clubs than at the arena shows. NY and LA we are not, lol. Tho I doubt anyone would mind. People know Adam is gay but many men and women were there to see Queen and Adam rock out. Everyone was raving about him, especially the women. HA!
