WOW!! I can't believe it's been 10 years already...I can remember, just like it was yesterday, sitting in front of my computer to watch it live, glass of wine in hand lol. That's the first time I had ever watched a live concert. I had told my hubby I was not to be bothered lol and I remember being sooo nervous for Adam. I didn't realize at the time that it was the beginning of something so huge. Thank you for bringing this over, Helena. Such great memories.

I think Brian is paying attention to the science and wondering if we will ever be pandemic free again in his lifetime. The tour is imposing strict Covid protocols, at least on the major players, so that no dates have to be cancelled due to illness. So even without a hectic schedule, they cannot enjoy doing other things in the cities they visit.

If we see less of kilt, that's ok with me. I do think it's kind of fun. He does have fun with it. Uses it like a prop. I like this latest outfit a lot. He has slimmed down quite a bit, IMO. Maybe that has something to do with it.
But what the heck is that floor-length patterned robe/shirt thing he is wearing in that photo with those two guys?
Brian definitely threw in the "if" word in his message about touring again. It's a loaded word. There are certainly lots of factors involved in that decision. QAL fans are not ready for the magic to end just yet.

HahaâŠAdam said for the QAL shows he gets to get dressed as a âgiant glam clownâ. His costumes reflect how the music âfeelsâ to him⊠quite insightful!

HahaâŠAdam said for the QAL shows he gets to get dressed as a âgiant glam clownâ. His costumes reflect how the music âfeelsâ to him⊠quite insightful! The costumes save me from viewing the videos non-stop, lol. With QAL it was always more rock and sexy and attention grabbing outfits but now they feel like costumes. One reviewer called it Vaudeville which I hated to hear. I know Brian and Roger became a little jaded when Freddie wanted to make the band more disco. I hope they will continue as long as they are healthy and their hearts are in it. They are still considered one of the best Rock bands in the world. That Adam failed to get in shape for the tour makes me wonder if his heart may not be in it now (and it is not because he is 40 HA). But I hope that is not the case. He is sounding better than ever and fans are loving them.

I think Adam's choice of the word "clown" wasn't a very good one. And I don't think he meant it in the literal sense. He has always loved dress-up and this job is perfect. Freddie dressed in all kinds of crazy stuff in the 70s and 80s. Leotards and such. Adam has his own version of that. It's part of Queen's identity. And I think he has lost some weight, quite honestly. Anybody who's waiting around for him to look like he did pre-COVID is wasting their time. He looks and sounds great, kilt and all. I think his heart's still in it. But two things are major factors. First, Brian and Roger's ability and desire to do more big tours like this one, although they may start doing shorter tours and one-offs more often. Fans still want to see them perform live, after all. Second, Adam's obvious desire to branch out into other things like acting, voice characters, writing, collabing,TV, etc. And he will always want to create new solo music whenever he can. I think he will always want to perform as solo Adam Lambert whenever he can.
And thanks, nica, for posting the German interview with Adam in English. It was a nice, short interview.
