38K so far for BTIKM? Unbelievable, awesome, superb! Adam will have dimmers in EVERY ROOM. Or maybe even 2 sets... My guess is that he already has all the dimmers he needs; I'm waiting for an entry in Sauli's blog that there is a new sauna on the premises. Just a matter of time...  |

These first 3 weeks of sales are like "gravy" because the promo has not even kicked in yet! I think I lurrve you (oh shit, David Cassidy just flitted (fleeted?) thru my brain.) I am not able to assess if these are commercially sound sales figures or just timid sales. What are the implications of these figures ? These numbers are fine for release with little to no promo. Just for comparison here are Daughtry's first few weeks sales numbers. Keep in mind though that I believe Daughtry did have promo along with his release. Daughtry didn't see an increase until the 5th week of release. Adam's sales will continue to drop also until promo and radio play kicks in but the song is climbing in radio play so no worries yet. Thanks for this ..puts matters in their right perspective...... Mr. Executive Producer -the Adam Lambert must be tracking these numbers as you would your stock market investment.... |

OMG yayyyyyyy for Leno and congrats to the Atop peeps who are going!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so jealous that if my eyes weren't already green they'd turn that color now, but also super happy for you all! Seriously though, we want EVERY LAST DETAIL as fast as you can get it to us! BTW at what time does the show tape? I need to know so that I can schedule myself a "meeting" on my Outlook calendar and be available for 2nd-hand flailing! |

I think this one's an Adam news too, though not about the promo of BTIKM. But for you that's interested, one of the lawyer at MJ's posted a comment that she/he's trolling the federal court files for Adam's case for copyright infringement and he/she said that it looks like a settlement is imminent. I quoted his/her post: This from a stipulation (an agreement between attorneys) filed with the court Wednesday:
The parties' transactional counsel have negotiated and agree upon the material terms of a settlement of this action and all the claims asserted herein. The negotiation and agreed upon materiaterms of that settlement agreement are reflected in a series of emails between said counsel dated between November 15 and December 21, 2011.Defendant's (Adam's) counsel have begun preparmg a settlement agreement and have committed to send a draft of that document to plaintiffs counsel by January 3, 2012. Don't mean to be a daisy downer for our Trespassing promo party, but I am interested in the development of this case. I just hope that if they agree on settlement, this means that Adam get to keep all his songs and there won't be any unauthorized CD's in the future or whenever he's about to release his new album again. OK... back to new LIVE performance of BTIKM. My DVR's ready to record new Adam performances ;D Q3 - if you think this is not the place to post this, please feel free to delete or move it somewhere else. Thanks! Perfect place. This is good news. I must admit I was kind of interested in what Adam would wear to court for his trial date. (Picture glam leather Perry Mason). After the DJ played it, she said "by request". Since they've added it, wouldn't it be on their playlist anyway? ??? I've asked this question before, but haven't gotten a response, so am trying again. I've noticed that they play BTIKM less often now that they've added than before.. they played it today at 3:08 a.m. and 2:37 p.m., that's 11-1/2 between the two plays, but before they played it at least 4 or 5 times and with less time between plays. Can anyone explain how the plays work? Color me confused! ??? WELCOME to all the new members!!! I can't figure out type size or color or it would be a more colorful welcome. ;D I had not seen an answer for this yet so here goes.... There are two parts of getting airplay on US Radio... 1. Getting the song added to the station playlist. There are two different ways stations can choose to add a song to their MediaBase playlist: > Some stations submit the songs they have added. > Other stations add songs automatically whenever they play the song 7 or more times in a week. This is called an "Autoadd". KLLC adds song automatically --- "Autoadds". Last week they played BTIKM 28 times. The most of any station in the US and since they opt to autoadd songs to their MediaBase playlist, it was autoadded. 2. Playing the song. Radio stations or groups of radio stations have program directors (PDs). The PD is responsible for both the station's playlist. the level that songs will be played (how many spins a song will get), and what dayparts (times) the song will be played. They can delegate part of this role to major DJs but rarely do. Just as their title says, they program the station. DJs are the on-air talent. They do not do the programming but are responsible (along with Producers) for their show's content and entertainment value . NOW WHY WOULD SPIN LEVEL DROP after the first week? KLLC supports BTIKM and they will manage the number of spins to peak on or after the official impact date -- 1.23.12 for their format HAC. So, if they back off a bit from 28 spins a week -- don't be surprised -- only worry if they are not well above this level by 1.23.12.    |
