Q3 - regarding the lawsuit, are you saying that Adam will have to PAY the BFM people? They'll still be allowed to sell the cd, right? But he's gonna have to PAY them on top of that? The filing confirms that a settlement is in the works and nothing more. We also know from the original claim that there was some agreement made in June or July 2009 that delayed the release. My hope/guess/bet is that BFM will not be sold but to make that happen it will cost Adam something -- which may be money or not depending on what the deal is. If Adam settles and has to pay money, most likely it will be to either significantly delay the release OR to never release these recordings. I really hope he just buys the masters -- and he can afford it because the presale indicates that they are not worth that much money. ETA: The CP claim was never about Adam being in the wrong, it is about the commercial ownership of recording masters, compositions and usage rights. This stuffs happens all the time. |

Can Adam countersue the slug and make sure he pays attorney fees out the nose? Adam has unquestionably the best entertainment lawyers in the US. I am certain they will protect his interests. I think we should just be happy that this appears to be on a path to be settled leaving Adam, fans, DJs and the press to focus on his new music. ----- Congratulations Nica!! Well...guess we won't get any tweets tonight about the music video shoot. Great news today and we have LIVE performances to look forward to this month!! So time for me to say good nite...Adam style!! ;D Oh, I just love that "lights out" move/pic! And I've been lurking around twitter, trying to scope out Adam mentions for tidbits about music vid shoot today--but I got nothin'. Tighter than Fort Knox is right. BUT I did see lots of other interesting stuff, and here's another GN GEM: This (2:30>) is one of the reasons ya just have to love him live! Congrats to you and DD, Nica! (and to your son, too, Lynne  )! ETA: Stampsgal, ITA that it's very cool that UHH will be on JK--I will def watch--just had a little twinge of regret that A never had a makeup date scheduled, that's all. I genuinely like UHH's music. |
